Compliance Risk Management Lead - Vice President

As a Compliance Risk Management Lead covering the Asset & Wealth Management (AWM) line of business, you will partner with AWM and firmwide Compliance, Conduct, and Operational Risk (CCOR) leads and stakeholders to identify, prioritize, and implement opportunities to enhance governance, and strengthen compliance risk management capabilities. Additionally, you will be tasked with improving operational effectiveness, accelerating the adoption of AI, analytics, automation, and other emerging technologies across AWM CCOR practice areas. Your key practice areas will include management reporting, legal and regulatory change management, document governance, compliance education and communications and other CCOR framework initiatives.
Job Responsibilities
- Identify and implement opportunities across AWM CCOR-owned practices and programs to enhance governance, reporting, workflow management, stakeholder engagement, and risk oversight through sustainable adoption of AI, automation, analytics, and other emerging technologies.
- Partner with the AWM CCOR LRCM Lead to evaluate, implement, and optimize AWM and CCOR-wide utilities, workflows, and technology-enabled solutions that improve regulatory change intake and disposition, strengthen stakeholder coordination, enhance feedback and guidance processes, and drive scalable improvements across U.S. CCOR teams.
- Partner with the AWM CCOR Document Manager to enhance document governance processes, stakeholder communications, workflow efficiency, reporting capabilities, and technology adoption across the document lifecycle.
- Partner across CCOR, Data & Analytics, Technology, and practice-area leads to transform compliance data, including insights from compliance violation frameworks, into actionable risk intelligence that informs targeted employee education, supports risk mitigation measures, and improves visibility into key risk themes and drivers.
- Support continuous improvement of management reporting processes, including weekly executive management updates and monthly Business Control Committee materials across AWM and its sub-LOBs, by improving reporting coordination, streamlining preparation workflows, strengthening data consistency, and identifying opportunities for automation, analytics, and AI-enabled enhancements.
Required qualifications, capabilities and skills
- 5+ years of experience in a control environment, such as Compliance, Risk Management, Controls Management, or technology functions supporting these disciplines, within a large, highly regulated financial services firm.
- Demonstrated ability to operate with a high degree of initiative and ownership, proactively identifying opportunities for improvement and independently driving initiatives in a highly regulated environment.
- Strong technology fluency, including experience identifying opportunities and implementing use cases for AI-enabled tools, analytics, automation, and workflow solutions to improve business processes, enhance productivity, and deliver scalable outcomes.
- Working knowledge of major financial services business lines within a large, global financial institution, including the governance, risk management, compliance and regulatory environment associated with operating in a complex, highly regulated organization.
- Exceptional organizational, analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality results.
- Proven ability to build strong relationships across businesses and functions and effectively influence stakeholders in a matrixed organization.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills
- Bachelor’s degree required; degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Data Science, Engineering, Business, Finance, or another relevant discipline preferred. Advanced degree, such as a Master’s or PhD, is a plus.
- Hands-on experience with tools and platforms such as Python, SQL, Databricks including Genie, LLM-based solutions, Microsoft Copilot, Copilot Studio, agentic AI capabilities, and other emerging analytics, automation, and AI-enabled technologies.
- Experience applying data analytics, AI-enabled solutions, automation, or low-code tools to enhance governance, improve decision-making, streamline workflows, automate processes, and drive operational efficiencies.
- Familiarity with U.S. federal regulatory frameworks applicable to financial services businesses, including Asset & Wealth Management, investment banking, consumer banking, markets, or related business lines.
