Accountabilities:

    The Principal Software Solutions Engineer will lead the design, development, and optimization of scalable software solutions while acting as a trusted technical partner for customers and internal teams. This role requires strong engineering expertise, business understanding, and the ability to translate complex requirements into long-term platform improvements.

    • Design, architect, and develop scalable features that enhance and expand core SaaS platform capabilities.
    • Build full-stack solutions across frontend, backend, APIs, databases, integrations, and cloud services.
    • Lead technical discovery sessions, architecture workshops, and solution discussions with customers and internal stakeholders.
    • Translate customer-specific challenges into reusable product capabilities that support broader platform growth.
    • Develop secure, maintainable, and production-ready software using modern development practices.
    • Create clean, type-safe code using technologies such as TypeScript, React, Next.js, and related frameworks.
    • Partner with product and engineering leadership to influence roadmap priorities, architecture decisions, and technical strategy.
    • Design and implement integrations, automated workflows, and solutions that improve customer adoption and operational efficiency.
    • Drive engineering excellence through contributions to CI/CD processes, automated testing, observability, performance optimization, and reliability improvements.
    • Mentor engineers, promote technical standards, and encourage best practices across engineering teams.
    • Evaluate emerging technologies and architectural approaches to continuously improve platform performance and customer experience.
    • Travel approximately 20% as needed to support customer and business initiatives.
    • Requirements:

      The ideal candidate is a senior software engineering professional with extensive SaaS development experience and a strong ability to operate as both a technical leader and customer-facing consultant. This role requires deep engineering knowledge, excellent communication skills, and experience building scalable solutions in complex environments.

      • 10+ years of professional experience in full-stack or frontend software development, preferably within SaaS products or startup environments.
      • Previous experience in insurance technology (Insurtech) is required.
      • Strong experience in client-facing technical roles, acting as a consultant and strategic partner while remaining accountable for delivery outcomes.
      • Advanced programming skills in TypeScript/JavaScript, Python, Java, C++, or similar languages.
      • Hands-on experience with modern frontend frameworks, including Next.js App Router, server components, layouts, streaming, and caching.
      • Experience with tRPC or equivalent type-safe API frameworks.
      • Experience building complex, data-intensive user interfaces using technologies such as Tailwind and component libraries like shadcn/ui or Mantine.
      • Strong understanding of scalable system design, frontend performance optimization, state management, and accessibility.
      • Experience collaborating with product teams, designers, engineers, and business stakeholders.
      • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly.
      • Ability to work effectively in ambiguous environments and make informed architectural decisions.
