Accountabilities:

    As a Senior Project Manager - Guidewire, you will oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of complex software projects while promoting agile methodologies and effective team collaboration.

    • Lead project planning, resource allocation, execution tracking, and delivery management to ensure initiatives remain on schedule and within budget.
    • Manage multiple projects and Scrum teams simultaneously while ensuring alignment with agile principles and organizational objectives.
    • Partner with engineering, product management, and business stakeholders to define priorities, manage dependencies, and achieve successful project outcomes.
    • Facilitate agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog grooming, retrospectives, and team improvement sessions.
    • Act as a servant leader and Scrum Master when needed, helping teams improve productivity, collaboration, and delivery practices.
    • Develop and maintain project plans covering scope, milestones, resources, risks, quality, and financial considerations.
    • Monitor project health, communicate progress, identify risks, and proactively resolve blockers impacting delivery.
    • Maintain and prioritize requirements backlogs while ensuring alignment between technical capabilities and operational needs.
    • Drive continuous improvement initiatives by analyzing team performance, sharing best practices, and optimizing agile processes.
    • Support governance processes and ensure adherence to project delivery standards, risk management practices, and data integrity requirements.
    • Requirements:

      The ideal candidate brings extensive experience managing agile software development projects, strong leadership capabilities, and the ability to collaborate effectively across technical and business teams.

      • Minimum 8 years of experience in agile project management, Scrum, or related roles within software development environments.
      • Proven experience leading agile transformations, coaching teams, and supporting adoption of agile practices across organizations.
      • Strong understanding of Scrum principles, agile frameworks, project planning, and software development lifecycle processes.
      • Experience managing complex technology projects involving multiple teams, stakeholders, and dependencies.
      • Proficiency with project management and collaboration tools such as MS Project, Jira, and Confluence.
      • Preferred certifications include Project Management Professional (PMP) and agile certifications.
      • Experience managing Property & Casualty insurance technology projects is highly preferred.
      • Familiarity with policy and claims management platforms, particularly Guidewire, is a strong advantage.
      • Strong communication, negotiation, and influencing skills with the ability to collaborate across all organizational levels.
      • Excellent interpersonal skills with demonstrated emotional intelligence, conflict resolution abilities, and relationship-building capabilities.
      • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced, and continuously evolving environment.
      • Willingness to travel to an office location in California when required during the hiring process or for business needs.
