The Hospital Transparency Business Intelligence Engineer 2 solves complex business issues using data from internal and external sources to provide insight to decision-makers. You will report to an Associate Director Business Intelligence.The Business Intelligence Engineer 2 will support the analysis of Hospital Transparency files. You will extract available data from hospital websites, transform and prepare that data for analysis, compare results across hospitals, and summarize key findings for business partners. You will develop repeatable data processes. These processes will contribute to Power BI dashboards and reports. The team will use these dashboards and reports to review trends, outliers, and insights related to hospital pricing transparency. This will be achieved by taking raw hospital transparency data and transforming it into relevant insights.
The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, analytical, and comfortable working with complex healthcare data files in multiple formats. We are looking for data preparation, business intelligence, documentation, with experience communicating updates to senior leaders and other partners. S.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree
- 3 or more years of data analytics experience
- 2 or more years of experience in SQL, Python, or similar
- Proficiency using data visualization tools such as PowerBI
- Expertise in assessing complex data sets and performing root cause analysis
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced Degree in a quantitative discipline, such as Mathematics, Economics, Finance, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering or related field
- Experience with data mining and automation modeling techniques
- Drive business outcomes and decisions
Travel: While this is a remote position, occasional travel to Humana's offices for training or meetings may be required.

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting.
