As the Test Lead, you will play a key role in leading and coordinating end-to-end testing activities across complex digital transformation initiatives, ensuring high-quality outcomes and successful project delivery. This role is a 12-month fixed-term contract based on-site in Darwin, Northern Territory.

What You'll Do
- Lead and coordinate testing activities across the full project lifecycle, including system, integration, user acceptance, and production verification testing.
- Develop and maintain test strategies, plans, schedules, and reporting artefacts.
- Ensure comprehensive test coverage by reviewing business and technical requirements.
- Oversee test design, execution, defect management, and defect resolution.
- Coordinate testing activities across project teams, vendors, and business stakeholders.
- Monitor testing progress and provide clear reporting on quality, risks, issues, and overall readiness.
- Identify, manage, and escalate testing risks, issues, and dependencies.
- Drive testing governance, quality assurance, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Support successful delivery by fostering collaboration across technical and business teams.
What You'll Bring
- Demonstrated experience leading testing within large, complex ICT or digital transformation programs.
- Strong expertise in developing test strategies, planning, execution, and defect management.
- Experience across multiple testing phases, including system, integration, UAT, and production verification testing.
- Proficiency with test and defect management tools such as Jira or similar platforms.
- Solid understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies and quality assurance practices.
- Ability to interpret functional and technical requirements to ensure effective test coverage.
- Experience managing testing risks, issues, dependencies, and reporting to project stakeholders.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and vendor coordination skills across technical and non-technical audiences.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Tertiary qualifications in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline, with ISTQB (or equivalent) certification highly regarded.
- Experience working within government or other highly regulated environments will be highly regarded.
