The Role

Mach's Growth organization has expanded significantly over the past year, resulting in a substantial increase in customer engagements, industry events, demonstrations, proposal activity, executive meetings, and strategic communications.

The Business Development Associate role will provide dedicated support to the Growth organization by centralizing customer engagement coordination and pipeline management, developing tooling to serve our growing organization and fundraising needs, CRM discipline, conference and event management, meeting preparation, executive briefing development, and post-engagement follow-up. This role will improve organizational efficiency, increase responsiveness to customers, and ensure consistent execution across a rapidly growing portfolio of defense programs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support customer engagement activities across the Growth team, including meeting coordination, follow-ups, and engagement tracking.

  • Maintain organized records of customer interactions, engagement activity, and meeting outcomes within the company CRM.

  • Coordinate customer meeting schedules, engagement and follow-up actions.

  • Help ensure customer engagements, notes, and action items remain organized and current.

  • Prepare customer briefs, meeting briefs, conference briefs, and engagement preparation materials for Growth leadership.

  • Take detailed meeting notes and distribute action items and engagement summaries.

  • Organize customer background information, engagement history, and meeting documentation.

  • Assist with presentation preparation, external-facing materials, and engagement coordination.

  • Support preparation for customer visits, demonstrations, industry meetings, and strategic engagement

  • Manage conferences, trade shows, demonstrations, and industry events from planning through execution.

  • Coordinate event logistics including registrations, schedules, attendee coordination, travel tracking, and event materials.

  • Coordinate customer meetings and engagement schedules associated with conferences and events.

  • Track post-event engagement activity and follow-up actions within the CRM.

  • Support Growth team presence and coordination during external events and engagements.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.

  • 4–7 years of experience in business development coordination, communications, marketing, community engagement, campaign coordination, event management, or related roles.

  • Strong written communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

  • Experience managing multiple projects, stakeholders, and timelines simultaneously.

  • Ability to operate in a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment.

  • Proficiency with presentation tools, spreadsheets, CRM systems, and communication platforms

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting conferences, trade shows, or customer-facing events.

  • Experience in communications, digital marketing, community engagement, advocacy programs, or campaign management.

  • Familiarity with aerospace, defense, government, or technology industries.

  • Experience working in startup or high-growth environments.

  • Familiarity with Salesforce or similar CRM platforms.

  • Experience preparing customer-facing engagement or briefing materials.

The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only. Actual salary offers may vary based on (but not limited to) work experience, education and training, critical skills, and business considerations. Highly competitive equity grants are included in most offers and are considered part of Mach’s total compensation package.
