Job Details
To optimise global packaging positioning, availability and utilisation through proactive planning, inventory balancing and network management, ensuring packaging assets are available in the right location at the right time. The role is also responsible for managing packaging requests, maintaining packaging master data and attributes, and supporting compliance with Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR) and Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) requirements.
Responsibilities:
Packaging Positioning:
Analyze packaging inventory across the network.
Recommend and execute asset repositioning actions.
Balance supply and demand of packaging assets.
Support packaging deployment strategies that maximize asset availability and utilisation.
Monitor stock levels and identify risks of shortages or excess inventory.
Packaging Request Management:
Review and manage packaging requests submitted by internal stakeholders.
Validate business requirements and ensure requests meet operational and compliance standards.
Coordinate approval and implementation of new packaging requests.
Track request progress and communicate status updates to stakeholders.
Act as a key contact for packaging-related queries and escalations.
PPWR & Compliance Maintenance:
Maintain packaging data required for PPWR compliance, including material composition, weight, recyclability and sustainability attributes.
Ensure packaging specifications remain aligned with regulatory requirements and company standards.
Support EPR reporting activities by maintaining accurate packaging records.
Validate packaging compliance information prior to deployment and use.
Assist with internal and external audits relating to packaging compliance and sustainability requirements.
Monitor regulatory developments and support implementation of new compliance requirements.
Fleet Optimization:
Monitor utilisation and dwell times.
Reduce excess inventory and shortages.
Improve packaging asset productivity.
Identify opportunities to optimise packaging flows and reduce costs.
Support initiatives to improve packaging recovery and reuse rates.
Operational Planning:
Forecast packaging requirements.
Develop positioning strategies for peak demand periods.
Support contingency planning.
Collaborate with regional operations teams to ensure packaging availability meets customer demand.
Master Data Management:
Maintain packaging master data records and item specifications.
Ensure packaging attributes are accurate and complete across relevant systems.
Support creation, modification and retirement of packaging SKUs and ship units.
Ensure data governance standards are consistently applied.
Reporting & Analytics:
Produce inventory, positioning and compliance reports.
Identify trends and optimization opportunities.
Support strategic network initiatives.
Analyze packaging utilization, recovery performance and compliance metrics.
Provide insights and recommendations to improve operational and regulatory performance.

Work Experience:
Supply chain planning, packaging management or network optimization experience.
Experience with logistics, packaging or asset management systems.
Knowledge of packaging regulations, PPWR and EPR requirements desirable.
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
Experience managing master data and compliance-related processes preferred.
Skills and Knowledge:
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Advanced Excel, reporting and data management capability.
Gross Salary Range (Monthly): €2,136 - €3,051
