IT PROJECT MANAGER (SYSANALYSIS)

About the Position: This position is located in San Antonio, Texas, with the Defense Health Agency. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation. Salary negotiation may be available for those new to Federal service. Serves as a Senior Project Director for selected large scale/complex automation projects assigned by the designated Section Chief within CIO Operations. Performs the full range of program management activities starting from Concept and Exploration, and continues through development, production, and completion of initial fielding of the system/equipment items, and life cycle management and support. Establishes and coordinates configuration management plans and a Configuration Control Board for each system fielded. Conducts research and interfaces with government research and development centers and private industry involved in state-of-the-art technologies and automated systems. Reports project status and provides status briefings on assigned projects to Senior Information Management Officers, and other government officials including, but not be limited to, General Officers, Senior Executive Service level civilians.
