Welcome to United States Forces Korea. Our mission is to deter aggression and if necessary, defend the Republic of Korea (ROK) to maintain stability in Northeast Asia. The Service Members of the United States and the Republic of Korea have stood together for more than 60 years maintaining the Armistice and setting the conditions for stability and prosperity in the Republic of Korea. Our Systems Administrator is a junior position which will maintain smooth operation of multi-user computer systems, including coordination with network engineers.
You'll have the opportunity to:
- Monitor and manage system resources, including CPU usage, disk usage, and response times to maintain operating efficiency.
- Perform systems security administration functions, including creating user profiles and accounts.
- Perform other duties that may include setting up administrator accounts, maintaining system documentation, tuning system performance, installing system wide software and allocating mass storage space.
- Interact with users and evaluates vendor products.
- Make recommendations to purchase hardware and software, coordinates installation and provides backup recovery.
- Develop and monitor policies and standards for allocation related to the use of computing resources.
Qualifications
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree with 0-2 years of experience. 4 years of experience may be accepted in lieu of the degree.
- Experience with MS-SharePoint, Windows Desktop Support, and Tier 1 IT support
- DOD8570.01M IAT Level II (Security+ or higher certification)
- Active Secret clearance SSBI with ability to obtain/maintain a TS security clearance
- US citizenship and ability to obtain and maintain Invited Contractor status under the ROK/US Status of Forces Agreement (SOFA)
