Accountabilities:

    As a Principal Software Engineer, you will provide technical leadership across frontend platform initiatives, helping teams build and deliver exceptional web experiences at scale. You will balance long-term architectural vision with hands-on execution, driving improvements that enhance performance, accessibility, reliability, and developer productivity.

    • Own the technical strategy for frontend web platform capabilities, including architecture, performance, accessibility, consistency, and availability.
    • Lead complex cross-team initiatives, migrations, and platform improvements while minimizing disruption to ongoing product development.
    • Design and promote scalable frontend patterns, standards, and reusable solutions that enable engineering teams to move faster.
    • Create architecture proposals, evaluate technical trade-offs, and build alignment across engineering, product, and design stakeholders.
    • Improve frontend systems through data-driven approaches focused on performance metrics, reliability, and user experience.
    • Mentor engineers across teams through technical guidance, design reviews, code reviews, and knowledge sharing.
    • Advocate for frontend platform priorities with leadership and help secure the resources needed to deliver strategic initiatives.
    • Collaborate with technical leaders and product partners to define future platform direction and deliver measurable outcomes.
    • Requirements:

      The ideal candidate is a highly experienced software engineering leader with deep expertise in frontend platforms, large-scale systems, and modern web technologies. You should be comfortable influencing technical direction across teams while remaining engaged in architecture, implementation, and engineering practices.

      • 11+ years of experience in software engineering, computer science, or a related technical discipline, with proven experience building and maintaining production software.
      • Equivalent experience through relevant education and professional background, including advanced degrees or comparable technical expertise.
      • Strong proficiency in software development using modern programming languages such as JavaScript, TypeScript, C#, Java, Go, Python, Ruby, Rust, or similar technologies.
      • Deep knowledge of frontend architecture, including React internals, server-side rendering, browser technologies, and modern web development practices.
      • Proven experience modernizing large, multi-team frontend codebases and leading complex technical migrations.
      • Strong understanding of web performance optimization, including Core Web Vitals, interaction latency, and application efficiency improvements.
      • Experience establishing frontend standards, shared component libraries, design systems, or developer tooling adopted across engineering organizations.
      • Strong knowledge of accessibility principles, browser APIs, CSS, and scalable frontend development practices.
      • Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly and influence engineers, product leaders, and executive stakeholders.
      • Demonstrated ability to mentor engineers, drive alignment, and create clarity in ambiguous technical environments.
