We are looking for a talented Diesel Technician / Mechanic to join our Distribution business in Indianapolis, IN.
This position will begin on the day shift (7:00 AM–3:30 PM) and will transition to the second shift (3:30 PM–12:30 AM). Applicants must be comfortable working both shifts.
You will make an impact in the following ways:

Complete repairs on engine products in a service shop

Will preform chassis work (brakes etc.) as well as engine work.

Perform maintenance/repairs utilizing diagnostic tools

Maintain detailed records of serviced vehicles

Adhere to Cummins Health, Safety & Environmental policies

Ongoing development/certifications on new and existing Cummins products

Maintain own tools
In order to be successful in this role you will need the following:
- Completes complex internal engine repairs
- Performs engine overhauls unassisted
- Detailed understanding of the aftertreatment system and components
- Proficient experience with engine diagnostic software

Education, Licenses, Certifications: Apprentice Trained Engine Technician (Preferred),
Vocational diploma from relevant technical institution, locally valid driving permit (Preferred)
This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.
Experience:
Intermediate level knowledge of and/or experience with engine products
This position will be cross trained to preform chassis work / Brakes ETC as well as engine work.
- This position is subject to Federal Transit Administration random and pre-employment drug testing requirements. This roll will be subject to on-going random drug and alcohol testing.
- A current valid license is required for this role
- Must be 18 years old with 2 years driving experience
- This role requires a 5 year motor vehicle report, free from major violations
- A CDL may be required to obtain upon hire
- Federal law requires a CDL holder to be 21 years of age or older
