As a Director of Rooms & Guest Services, you’re not just providing strategic leadership and direction for the hotel’s rooms division operations – you’re spreading the light and warmth of hospitality by delivering memorable experiences that make the stay for every guest.
Here's what you'll do during a typical day:
- Lead rooms division operations: Direct all aspects of the Rooms Division, including front office, housekeeping, and guest services
- Shape service excellence strategy: Monitor guest service trends, assess overall satisfaction, and direct improvements to enhance the guest experience and drive long-term service quality
- Manage budgets and resources: Oversee financial planning, cost control, inventory management, and systems usage to support operational goals
- Support cross-functional initiatives: Collaborate with sales, marketing, and other departments to coordinate site visits, special requests, and promotional efforts
- Cultivate a high-performing team: Drive engagement and retention through performance management, professional development, and recognition programs
