Accountabilities:
- Develop and optimize credit and fraud strategies using data, machine learning models, and advanced analytics techniques.
- Design and analyze A/B tests to evaluate risk decisions, customer experience impacts, and business trade-offs.
- Identify new data sources, analytical approaches, and modeling opportunities to improve risk management capabilities.
- Partner with Data Science, Product, Engineering, and operational teams to implement and validate risk strategies.
- Conduct portfolio performance analysis at detailed segment levels and identify key drivers impacting business outcomes.
- Perform root-cause analysis to uncover trends, risks, and opportunities for optimization.
- Communicate analytical findings, insights, and recommendations to leadership and broader business teams.
- Support ad-hoc analyses related to risk management, product performance, and operational initiatives.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, Economics, or a related quantitative field.
- 3+ years of relevant experience with a Master’s degree or 5+ years with a Bachelor’s degree in credit risk, fraud analytics, data science, or a related field.
- Experience in consumer lending, personal loans, credit cards, or financial services is preferred, though strong technology and analytics backgrounds will also be considered.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data and develop practical solutions.
- Advanced proficiency in SQL and Python; experience with DBT and Looker is a plus.
- Knowledge of segmentation, statistical analysis, and financial analytics tools.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to present technical concepts clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to challenge assumptions, ask insightful questions, and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Strong ownership mindset with the ability to manage ambiguity, prioritize effectively, and deliver high-quality results.
- Competitive salary range of $129,000 - $140,000 annually, plus potential bonus eligibility.
