You will greet guests with a smile and ensure they feel valued from the moment they walk in. As an Server, you’re not just making guests feel at home – you’re spreading the light and warmth of hospitality by delivering memorable experiences that make the stay for every guest.
Here’s what you’ll do during a typical day:
Follow the hotel's standard operating procedures, service policies, and techniques to deliver a luxury dining experience.
Greet guests warmly, present menus, and provide detailed explanations of menu and buffet items, making recommendations as needed.
Take accurate food and beverage orders and communicate them effectively to the kitchen and bar.
Ensure timely service of food and beverages, following proper sequence and etiquette.
Anticipate guest needs, offering refills and replenishments promptly.
Assist guests with seating, providing personalised service, and accommodating special requests.
Address guest inquiries and resolve any concerns promptly, ensuring a seamless experience.
Handle guest complaints professionally and escalate issues to the supervisor or manager when necessary.
Possess thorough knowledge of the restaurant’s menu, including ingredients, preparation methods, and allergens.
Upsell and recommend menu items, pairing food with appropriate wine or beverages to enhance the dining experience.
Understand the coordination between the kitchen and restaurant, ensuring smooth service flow.
Maintain awareness of daily specials, promotions, and upcoming events.

In addition, this role requires the following minimum qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; hospitality training is a plus
- Proven experience in a similar role in a hotel
- Excellent communication, grooming, and interpersonal skills
- Fluent in English; additional languages are an advantage
- Friendly, professional, and guest-focused
- Able to work flexible shifts
