Accountabilities:

    As a Backend Tech Lead, you will act as a technical reference, combining software architecture expertise with leadership responsibilities to deliver robust, scalable, and secure solutions from conception to production.

    • Own key technical initiatives, leading solutions from architecture design through implementation and production delivery.
    • Design and develop reliable integrations and automation solutions between internal and external systems using APIs, REST/GraphQL, webhooks, messaging, and asynchronous processing.
    • Build and evolve backend solutions using Java, Spring Boot, and Hibernate.
    • Develop and improve automation workflows using platforms such as n8n or equivalent tools.
    • Design and implement AI-powered solutions using Large Language Models (LLMs), including API integrations, context management, prompt engineering, and workflow orchestration.
    • Define architecture standards, resilience patterns, observability strategies, error handling practices, and governance guidelines for critical integrations.
    • Provide technical direction to engineering teams, supporting prioritization, architectural decisions, and complex implementation challenges.
    • Conduct code reviews and mentor engineers, helping elevate technical maturity across the team.
    • Ensure automation and AI solutions follow security, governance, traceability, and responsible usage practices.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to solve ambiguous and high-impact technical problems.
    • Requirements:

      The ideal candidate is a senior backend engineer with strong architecture experience, technical leadership skills, and the ability to independently drive complex initiatives.

      • Strong senior-level experience developing backend systems with Java, Spring Boot, and Hibernate.
      • Proven experience designing and operating system integrations, including APIs, messaging, event-driven architectures, automation, and asynchronous processing.
      • Solid knowledge of relational databases and SQL, including PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle, or similar technologies.
      • Experience working with AWS services such as Lambda, SQS, S3, API Gateway, and related cloud solutions.
      • Experience acting as a technical reference through mentoring, code reviews, and architecture decisions.
      • Ability to work independently on complex and ambiguous challenges with significant business impact.
      • Instrumental English proficiency for reading technical documentation.
      • Nice-to-have skills:

        • Experience with n8n or similar automation platforms such as Zapier, Make, or Airflow.
        • Experience integrating LLMs through APIs, including OpenAI, Anthropic, or Bedrock.
        • Knowledge of RAG architectures, embeddings, and vector databases such as pgvector or Pinecone.
        • Experience with AI orchestration frameworks such as LangChain or LlamaIndex.
        • Experience with Node.js.
        • Experience with observability practices and testing strategies for critical integrations.
