Accountabilities:
- Define and drive the long-term technical strategy for the Document Domain, ensuring scalable architecture and reliable product evolution.
- Design, develop, and maintain complex backend systems using Python and modern engineering practices.
- Lead initiatives that improve system reliability, performance, maintainability, and developer productivity.
- Champion AI-powered development workflows by helping engineers adopt effective tools and practices to improve speed and quality.
- Collaborate with multiple engineering teams to align architecture decisions and deliver impactful document capabilities.
- Mentor engineers by sharing technical knowledge, providing guidance, and supporting their professional growth.
- Identify technical challenges, define strategic plans, and execute initiatives with a one-year horizon.
- Improve developer experience through better tooling, engineering standards, monitoring, and operational practices.
- Contribute throughout the full development lifecycle, from requirements analysis and implementation to deployment and monitoring.
- 6+ years of professional software development experience with strong Python expertise.
- Extensive hands-on experience building backend applications and scalable software systems.
- Strong knowledge of relational databases, including SQL, migrations, query optimization, and data modeling.
- Experience with message queues and event-driven architectures using technologies such as RabbitMQ, NATS, or Kafka.
- Solid understanding of Domain-Driven Design (DDD) principles and asynchronous programming patterns.
- Strong familiarity with modern development practices, including deployment processes, monitoring, and production operations.
- Experience working with cloud environments, preferably AWS, and containerized infrastructures such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Ability to leverage AI development workflows effectively and use AI tools to improve personal and team productivity.
- Proven mentoring experience and ability to support the growth of other engineers.
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across distributed engineering teams.
