Accountabilities:

    The Procurement Manager will lead procurement activities supporting utility-scale renewable energy and energy storage projects, ensuring competitive sourcing, strong supplier partnerships, and successful contract execution. This role requires a balance of strategic thinking, technical understanding, and commercial expertise to optimize procurement outcomes.

    • Lead sourcing activities for battery energy storage systems (BESS), solar equipment, and related technologies, including market analysis, RFP creation, supplier evaluation, and contract execution.
    • Develop and implement procurement strategies focused on cost optimization, technical requirements, delivery performance, supplier reliability, and risk management.
    • Manage complex equipment supply agreements covering commercial terms, logistics, quality requirements, warranties, and payment structures.
    • Build and maintain strategic relationships with vendors, contractors, and suppliers while acting as a subject matter expert on supply markets.
    • Lead negotiations involving technical and commercial agreements, identifying solutions that support successful deal execution.
    • Collaborate with engineering, construction, legal, development, finance, and other internal teams to align procurement decisions with project objectives.
    • Support project transactions, including acquisitions, financings, divestitures, and related commercial agreements.
    • Drive procurement process improvements that increase efficiency, scalability, cost control, and supply chain resilience.
    • Provide procurement insights and recommendations to support business planning, development strategies, and long-term supply chain positioning.
    • Requirements:

      The ideal candidate is an experienced procurement professional with a strong background in renewable energy, complex sourcing environments, and supplier management. They should combine technical knowledge, negotiation skills, and the ability to operate effectively in an entrepreneurial and evolving industry.

      • Minimum of 5 years of progressive procurement experience focused on sourcing, contract negotiation, and vendor management.
      • At least 3 years of experience in utility-scale renewable energy, high-voltage procurement, thermal procurement, or similar infrastructure environments.
      • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Finance, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
      • Strong understanding of equipment specifications, technical requirements, performance considerations, and supplier evaluation processes.
      • Experience supporting the execution of EPC agreements, supply contracts, and complex commercial transactions.
      • Knowledge of utility-scale renewable energy development, U.S. power markets, transmission interconnection, and renewable project economics.
      • Strong negotiation, analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
      • Ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously while adapting to changing priorities.
      • Demonstrated ability to work independently, take ownership, and collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary teams.
      • Strong communication skills with the ability to build relationships with suppliers, partners, and internal stakeholders.
