Job Description:
TD Asset Management (TDAM), a member of TD Bank Financial Group, is a leading North American investment manager offering progressive investment solutions to both institutional and individual investors. For over two decades, the organization has established competitive market positions in active, quantitative, and passive portfolio management. As of December 31, 2025, TDAM and its affiliates manage over $508 billion in assets on behalf of pension, insurance, endowment/foundation, and corporate clients, as well as high-net worth clients and retail mutual funds.
In attaining this client commitment, TDAM has built one of Canada’s largest and most respected investment management and research teams with more than 220 Portfolio Managers, Associate Portfolio Managers, Traders and Analysts.
Role Overview
The Associate, Private Market Product Management supports the management and oversight of TD Asset Management’s private markets platform, including private credit, mortgages, infrastructure, and real estate.
Reporting to the Lead, Private Market Product Management, the role provides analytical, operational, governance, and coordination support to the Private Market Product Management team. The Associate helps ensure product information remains accurate, current, and readily available to support product management, fundraising, commercialization, and governance activities.
The role works closely with Product Managers, Investments, Client Portfolio Management, Distribution, Legal, Compliance, Operations, Fund Administration, Finance, and external service providers.
Key Accountabilities
1. Product Data and Performance Monitoring
- Monitor product metrics including AUM, fundraising activity, commitments, subscriptions, redemptions, capital calls, distributions, performance and benchmark results
- Prepare recurring reports, dashboards, and management summaries
- Maintain data accuracy and integrity across product reporting tools and databases
- Support product reviews through data gathering, validation, and analysis
- Assist in tracking product performance relative to objectives and peer groups
2. Market and Competitive Intelligence
- Conduct competitor research and market monitoring across private markets categories
- Track fundraising trends, new product launches, and industry developments
- Maintain competitive databases and reference materials
- Support benchmarking and competitive analysis initiatives
- Assist in preparing market intelligence and competitive insight materials
3. Product Documentation and Content Management
- Assist in maintaining product documentation and records
- Coordinate updates with Legal, Compliance, Disclosure, Operations and Product teams
- Support maintenance of offering memoranda, subscription documents, due diligence questionnaires, product profiles, and marketing materials
- Ensure product information remains current and consistent across internal and external platforms
- Maintain governance records and product inventories
4. Product Positioning Support
- Maintain product profiles, positioning materials, and reference documents
- Support updates to product narratives, client use cases, and competitive positioning materials
- Assist with information requests from Distribution, CPM, and other internal stakeholders.
- Help ensure positioning materials remain accurate and aligned with product characteristics
5. Fundraising and Distribution Support
- Support preparation of fundraising materials, investor presentations, and product updates
- Assist in responding to information requests from distribution teams, consultants, and clients
- Coordinate data requests associated with due diligence, RFPs, and consultant databases
- Track fundraising activity and support management of fundraising deliverables
- Maintain investor-facing product information and supporting materials
6. Stakeholder Support and Coordination
- Prepare materials for meetings, governance forums, product reviews, and working groups
- Support coordination across Investments, CPM, Distribution, Legal, Compliance, Operations, and external service providers
- Facilitate information gathering and communication among stakeholders
- Track action items, deliverables, and follow-up activities
- Assist with issue resolution and escalation processes
7. Product Governance and Lifecycle Support
- Support governance and review processes for existing products
- Assist with product launches, fundraising closes, product enhancements, and lifecycle activities
- Coordinate approval workflows and documentation requirements
- Maintain governance records and audit trails
- Support implementation activities associated with product changes
- Ensure adherence to established processes, controls, and regulatory requirements
8. Operational and Service Provider Coordination
- Support interactions with fund administrators, transfer agents, custodians, and other external service providers
- Assist with operational reviews and service provider information gathering
- Coordinate requests related to product reporting, onboarding, and investor servicing
- Support operational readiness activities for new products and initiatives
Qualifications and Experience
- Undergraduate degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Commerce, or related discipline
- 1-4 years of experience in asset management, product management, alternatives, investments, capital markets, fund administration, or related financial services roles
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and related productivity tools
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, cross-functional environment
- Knowledge of private market investment products and structures is considered an asset
- Demonstrated proficiency leveraging AI-enabled productivity and research tools to improve analysis, reporting, content development, and workflow efficiency
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Copilot and other generative AI tools, with the ability to apply them appropriately within a regulated business environment
- Familiarity with private markets fundraising, capital call processes, and alternative investment structures is an asset
- Progress toward or completion of a professional designation (e.g., CFA, CAIA) is considered an asset
