Production Material Handler
Position Summary
Delva Tool & Machine is seeking a Production Material Handler for our Cinnaminson, NJ location. The Production Material Handler plays a critical role keeping our CNC manufacturing operations running efficiently by receiving materials, maintaining inventory accuracy, staging production jobs, and supporting shipping operations.
What You’ll Own
- Receive, inspect, and verify incoming materials and supplies to ensure accuracy before they enter production.
- Move raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished components safely and efficiently throughout the facility using forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment.
- Stage materials, tooling, and work orders to support production schedules and minimize downtime on the shop floor.
- Maintain accurate inventory transactions, perform cycle counts, and help ensure inventory integrity within our ERP system.
- Support shipping and receiving operations by preparing outbound shipments, coordinating materials, and ensuring documentation is complete and accurate.
- Organize and maintain raw material storage, WIP staging areas, and finished goods locations so the shop remains clean, efficient, and audit-ready.
- Identify inventory discrepancies, damaged materials, or documentation issues and work with the team to resolve them quickly.
- Follow OSHA safety requirements, forklift operating procedures, and ITAR material handling requirements while maintaining a safe and organized work environment.
- Collaborate closely with Production, Purchasing, Quality, and Shipping teams to keep materials flowing and production running on schedule.
- Take pride in helping create an organized, efficient manufacturing operation where every job starts with the right materials in the right place.
What You Bring
- At least one year of experience in material handling, shipping & receiving, inventory control, warehouse operations, or manufacturing support.
- Experience operating forklifts, pallet jacks, or similar material handling equipment (or the ability to become certified).
- A strong attention to detail with the ability to accurately verify shipments, inventory, and production documentation.
- The ability to prioritize multiple tasks while supporting a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- A commitment to workplace safety and following established procedures and quality standards.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with teammates across production, quality, purchasing, and shipping.
- Basic computer skills and experience using inventory, ERP, or warehouse management systems is a plus.
- A willingness to stay active throughout the day, including lifting materials (up to 50 pounds), standing, walking, bending, and moving throughout the facility.
- A mindset focused on accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
