EKG Technician - EKG - PRN (Evergreen)

Description:

1. Job responsibilities include those listed in competency document.
2. Maintains a professional image and exhibits excellent customer relations to patients, visitors, physicians, and co-workers in accordance with our Service Excellence Standards and Core Values. 
3. Prepare patient and performs EKG studies on outpatients, inpatient pediatric patients and other patients as ordered by physician. 
4. Assist physician or designee in performing Stress Testing.
5. Prepares patient, performs teaching, and assist patient with event monitor as order for 24 & 48 duration including removal of monitor, scanning data into reporting system, and assignment of study to physician for reporting per protocol.   
6. Cleans and maintains departmental equipment per specific standards. 
7. Customer service, able to answer department telephone and provide customer assistance. 
8. Performs procedural billing activities.
9. Audits charge report and compares charges to procedure performed for accuracy and to ensure all procedures performed are charged appropriately. 
10. Edits and prepares test findings and appropriate refer EKG, Stress Test and holter studies for reading by physicians. 
11. Assist with patient transport as assigned.
12. All other duties as assigned. 

 

Licenses/Certifications/Registrations/Education:

• Minimum of a High School Diploma/GED from an accredited school
• BLS certification
