Job Description Summary
The Junior Engineer for Production supports the assembly of wind turbine components. This role is responsible for executing mechanical & electrical build tasks, operating specialized bolting equipment, and assisting in heavy-component lifting operations. The position requires a foundational understanding of technical drawings and production documentation to help ensure that all assembly work is performed efficiently, safely, and to the required quality standards.Job Description
- Possess 2 to 4 years of hands-on experience in mechanical assembly, preferably within the wind turbine industry or heavy equipment manufacturing.
- Must have practical experience assisting in crane lifting activities and the safe positioning of heavy-weight components.
- Must be proficient in the use of industrial bolting tools such as hydraulic tensioners, electronic torque-angle tools, calibrated torque wrenches, and pneumatic or electric nut runners.
- Follow established production documentation, including Process Flow Diagrams (PFD), Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (PFMEA), Control Plans, and Work Instructions (WI).
- Maintain strict adherence to Environmental Health, Safety, and Risk Assessments (EHSRA), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS).
- Assist in documenting production progress and reporting any technical deviations or quality issues through non-conformance reports (NCR).
- Should able to understand and adhere to established standardized work procedures and assisting with data collection for Yamazumi charts.
- Should be aware of Lean manufacturing activities, including Value Stream Mapping (VSM) exercises and team-based Kaizen events to help improve process efficiency.
- Use basic quality control tools to perform self-checks on assembly work and support root cause analysis when defects occur.
- should be able to fill Quality, Production & Maintenance checklist along with data filling in MES.
