Technical Product Owner - Web Experience

The Position
We are looking for a Technical Product Owner to help drive the delivery and evolution of Roche Diagnostics’ global and regional Web Experience & Web Analytics ecosystem. This role will play a key part in enabling scalable, compliant, and customer-centric digital experiences across websites, portals, and connected engagement platforms supporting healthcare professionals, laboratories, patients, and consumers.
As a Technical Product Owner, you will work closely with business leads, engineering teams, UX/UI specialists, regional stakeholders, and external partners to translate business needs into technical solutions and drive day-to-day delivery execution.
You will help shape and deliver capabilities across content management, personalization, search, integrations, localization, analytics and digital experience optimization while ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture, security, and operational standards.
Strong technical skills in Content Management Systems (CMS) and web development are required, as you will have ultimate responsibility for the technical solution.
Who You Are
Backlog & Delivery Ownership
● Own and prioritize the backlog for Web Experience & Web Analytics platforms and capabilities.
● Translate business requirements into clear user stories, technical requirements, and acceptance criteria.
● Drive sprint planning, refinement, testing, and release activities in close collaboration with development teams.
● Ensure delivered solutions meet functional and non-functional requirements and align with Definition of Ready and Definition of Done.
● Support day-to-day execution across engineering teams, vendors, and delivery partners.
Web Platform & Capability Management
● Support the delivery and continuous improvement of:
○ Global and regional websites and portals
○ Content publishing and localization workflows
○ Search and discoverability capabilities
○ Personalization and customer journey experiences
○ Analytics and digital experience optimization
○ Consent and identity-enabled experiences
● Ensure web capabilities support scalable and reusable content delivery across channels and regions.
● Drive alignment between business priorities, technical feasibility, and platform standards.
Platform Integration & Technical Coordination
● Coordinate delivery and integration activities across platforms such as:
○ Adobe Experience Manager (and other CMS platforms)
○ DAM and content repositories
○ PIM and product content systems
○ IAM / SSO and consent management solutions
○ CDP, CRM, and Marketing Automation ecosystems
○ Adobe Launch, SEO/AEO/GEO, Tech SEO (Observepoint), In-page analytics(Contentsquare)
○ Work closely with architects and engineering teams to validate solution feasibility and integration
approaches.
● Support management of APIs, data flows, metadata, and connected digital services.
Quality, Compliance & Operational Readiness
● Ensure solutions are scalable, secure, accessible, and compliant with Roche standards and regulations (e.g., GDPR, accessibility, security policies).
● Support testing coordination, defect management, release readiness, and production validation.
● Identify delivery risks, technical dependencies, and operational impacts.
● Collaborate with support and operations teams to ensure platform stability and continuous improvement.
Stakeholder & Vendor Collaboration
● Act as the primary day-to-day interface between business stakeholders, engineering teams, and external vendors.
● Collaborate closely with UX/UI, content, SEO, analytics, and regional teams to ensure alignment and usability.
● Facilitate communication across global and regional stakeholders to support adoption and delivery consistency.
● Support governance processes, roadmap discussions, and prioritization activities.
Who You Are
● Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field.
● 5+ years of experience as a Technical Product Owner, Digital Product Manager, or similar role.
● Proven experience delivering enterprise web platforms, portals, or digital experience ecosystems.
● Experience working with Agile methodologies including Scrum and SAFe.
● Strong experience collaborating with engineering teams and external development partners.
● Experience with CMS, DAM, personalization, analytics, and web integration ecosystems.
● Strong understanding of APIs, integrations, and connected digital platform architectures.
● Experience with backlog management tools such as Jira and Confluence.
● Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills across business and technical teams.
● Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Skills and Background
● Experience in life sciences, healthcare, or regulated industries.
● Experience with platforms such as:
○ Adobe Experience Manager (AEM)
○ Adobe Experience Cloud
○ Other CMS platforms such as Wordpress and Drupal is also beneficial
○ Knowledge of DAM and PIM solutions
○ Knowledge of Consent and Identity Management platforms
○ Knowledge of analytics and SEO platforms
● Experience supporting multilingual global and regional website ecosystems.
● Familiarity with accessibility standards, localization workflows, and enterprise web governance.
● Experience working with distributed global teams and external vendors/system integrators.
