OVERVIEW:

The Compliance Insights Analyst reports to the Director of Global Compliance and assists with the coordination and administration of activities related to the Dick’s Sporting Goods Corporate Compliance Program.  These activities include data collection, compilation, analysis, monitoring and reporting of current compliance programs through cross functional communication, application of business intelligence, collaboration, and the facilitation of ad hoc projects.

Data Aggregation and Analysis

  • Coordinate the collection, preparation, verification, and aggregation of compliance and compliance-related data from cross-functional sources.

  • Synthesize structured and unstructured data to identify trends and meaningful insights to support decision-making.

  • Prepare clear data visualizations, dashboards, and written summaries that translate data into actionable stories for a range of stakeholders.

  • Conduct data quality checks and monitor data inputs to ensure accuracy and reliability over time.

  • When needed, support requirements gathering, data mapping, documentation, and testing related to data and reporting processes.

  • Continuously improve reporting methods, visualization approaches, and data intake workflows to enhance clarity, efficiency, and usability.

  • Provide timely ad-hoc data analysis, metric clarification, and consulting support to business partners and leaders.

Process Improvement

  • Apply established process improvement methodologies to evaluate compliance-related workflows, data inputs, and stakeholder interactions.

  • Support the development of processes, tools, and infrastructure required to manage and track compliance program outcomes and compliance-related data.

  • Partner with business units to mature data inputs and underlying processes; analyze current workflows, identify improvement opportunities, and recommend practical, repeatable solutions (including standardization and automation when feasible).

  • Translate business needs and requirements to the Technology Solutions team to ensure alignment between compliance objectives and system capabilities.

  • Support the design and implementation of compliance-related pilots or field tests and lead associated data analysis where appropriate. 

Compliance Program Support

  • Support internal data-related benchmarking efforts, including developing baselines in various compliance and compliance-related areas from complex data and information sources.

  • Assist management with external benchmarking as needed.

  • Maintain curiosity and foundational knowledge across key compliance areas in a retail environment to support flexible collaboration and informed analysis.

  • Provide other support as needed to the Corporate Compliance team, including the VP of Corporate Compliance & Associate General Counsel

Ad hoc Support

Provide other support as needed to the Global Compliance Team, including the VP of Corporate Compliance & Associate General Counsel.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Business Intelligence, Data Analytics, Information Technology, Statistics, Audit, or AI technology 

  • 1-3 years experience in project management, corporate compliance, regulatory, retail, business and data analysis, benchmarking and reporting metrics, policy or other relevant experience. Familiarity with diverse workforces and global stakeholders is a plus.

  • LEAN/Six Sigma Green Belt or above preferred

  • PMP preferred

  • Data Visualization Tools (PowerBI, Qlik, etc.)

  • SharePoint experience preferred

  • Business Intelligence/Analytics Tools (R, Alteryx, etc.) preferred

  • NAVEX EthicsPoint preferred

  • AI Tools

  • Skillsoft, Axonify, ServiceNow preferred

  • Working knowledge of statistical methods (e.g.: descriptive analytics, trend identification, A/B testing, or basic predictive concepts).

  • Ability to synthesize structured and unstructured information across diverse intakes into clear, actionable insights.

  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain perspective on overall workflows and outcomes.

  • Effective collaboration skills across cross-functional teams; adept at facilitating discussions and aligning on actionable items as progressive forward next steps for global solutions

  • Ability to translate information and processes to business value and practical solutions, driving positive business outcomes

  • Strong critical thinking skills and demonstrated interest in integrity, compliance, and ethical business practices.
