As a Tax Coordinator, you’re not just supporting the coordination and execution of tax compliance, reporting, and financial accuracy across hotel operations – you’re spreading the light and warmth of hospitality by ensuring every detail is handled with precision, integrity, and care, helping create seamless experiences that support an exceptional stay for every guest.
Here’s what you’ll do during a typical day:
Support tax strategy execution: Assist in coordinating tax compliance activities to ensure alignment with the hotel’s financial and operational objectives, maintaining efficiency, accuracy, and regulatory compliance.
Manage tax planning and reporting: Support the preparation of tax filings, projections, and annual compliance schedules, ensuring timely submissions and adherence to applicable tax regulations and internal controls.
Provide tax and financial insights: Assist in reviewing tax data, reconciling accounts, and preparing analysis and recommendations for finance leadership to support informed decision-making.
Support financial and tax operations: Collaborate with Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll, and Night Audit teams to ensure proper tax treatment and compliance with internal policies.
Oversee tax reporting compliance: Assist in the preparation and review of monthly and annual tax-related reports, ensuring accuracy in documentation, coding, and regulatory submissions.
Monitor and validate tax transactions: Review tax calculations, ledger entries, reconciliations, and supporting documentation to ensure compliance with local tax laws and corporate standards.
Support and develop the team: Collaborate with finance team members, providing guidance, sharing knowledge, and supporting training initiatives to promote accuracy, compliance, and operational excellence.
