You will work in a collaborative environment to understand requirements, design, code, debug, and test creative solutions to client problems and requirements. Your primary responsibilities will include: • Develop High-Quality Solutions: Design, develop, unit test, and deliver offerings for IBM Z, such as z/OS, zTPF, zVM, and zVSE, ensuring world-class quality and resiliency in solutions. • Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work in a collaborative environment to understand requirements, design, code, debug, and test creative solutions to client problems and requirements. • Implement Agile Practices: Apply agile practices and DevOps tooling to deliver high-quality solutions efficiently and effectively. • Program in Multiple Languages: Program in various languages such as HLASM/Assembler, Java, C/C++ to design and create z/OS applications, work with z/OS subsystems, and mainframe storage solutions. • Ensure Solution Resiliency: Ensure solutions support strategic imperatives, including artificial intelligence and cloud, and maintain high-quality and resiliency in solutions. **Required technical and professional expertise** • Exposure to Mainframe Development: Experience working with IBM Z offerings such as z/OS, zTPF, zVM, and zVSE, including designing, developing, unit testing, and delivering solutions. • Programming Language Proficiency: Exposure to programming languages such as Java, C/C++ for creating z/OS applications, working with z/OS subsystems, and mainframe storage solutions. • Agile Practices Familiarity: Experience working with agile practices and DevOps tooling to deliver high-quality solutions efficiently and effectively. • Collaborative Environment: Exposure to working in a collaborative environment to understand requirements, design, code, debug, and test creative solutions to client problems and requirements. • Storage and Database Technologies: Experience working with mainframe storage solutions and database technologies, including IMS and DB2. **Preferred technical and professional experience** • Mainframe Security Knowledge: Experience with z/OS security concepts such as RACF, SSL, SSO, and Multi-Factor Authentication is beneficial for designing and implementing secure solutions. • Subsystem Familiarity: Exposure to z/OS subsystems like CICS and IMS can be advantageous in creating comprehensive solutions. • Cloud and AI Understanding: Familiarity with artificial intelligence and cloud technologies can help in developing innovative solutions that align with strategic imperatives.
