Position Summary:

As a UX Product Designer, you will be an integral part of an innovative and bold initiative that takes a modern approach of disciplined Agile and Lean software practices aimed at transforming healthcare and pharmacy. The UX Product Designer is essential to ensuring product success and end-user satisfaction in a highly collaborative environment working within an ecosystem of apps for a pharmacy benefits management platform known as myPBM. You will help educate both business and technology teams on human-centered design and UX best practices, as well as lead products from discovery through iterative delivery.

A firm understanding of user-centered design principles and user research methodologies is crucial for success in the role. Empathy, creative problem-solving, comfort with uncertainty, pairing with team members, excellent communication skills, curiosity, and learning are the foundational characteristics of the UX Product Designer.

Your key responsibilities

  • Full-stack designer: owner of all dimensions of design – research, usability evaluation, information architecture, wireframes, visual, CSS and HTML – it’s ok not be an expert in all, but important to have a willingness to learn

  • Demonstrate a methodical process that takes business and user needs to ship delightful user experiences into the hands of users.

How your first month might look like this:

  • Week 1: Meet your buddy and manager to ensure your computer is set up, and you have all the key software and tools you need. Meet your product team to begin understanding product goals, scope, and near-term expectations from you

  • Week 2: begin working closely with your product manager and business owner to familiarize or begin to define user journeys. You’ll dive into setting up your Figma files to set up your workspace with what you need to begin low fidelity wireframes or familiarize yourself with the existing designs. You will also meet the myPBM design team and get familiarized with design systems, patterns, standards, and tooling.

  • Month 1: By the end of the first month, you’ll be regularly producing mock-ups for delivery, advocating for good UX, accessibility, and design system standards. You’ll annotate designs where necessary, especially to ensure accessibility. Working with PMs and engineers, you’ll ensure alignment on story requirements and feasibility. Team meetings and pairing will give you a general understanding of the broader myPBM ecosystem.

How we’ll support you
