Student Trainee (Logistics Management)

This position serves as a Student Trainee (Logistics Management) for U.S. Army Security Assistance Command located at New Cumberland, PA. Position may be non-competitively converted to competitive service after completion of program. Pathways Internship positions provide for development and training. Assignments become more responsible as incumbent increases knowledge and skills through work experience and academic training. At the full-performance level, you will be expected to: Provide direct support to senior logistics management specialists by assisting in program management, foreign military sales (FMS), operations, life cycle logistics, maintenance management, and supply chain management. Coordinate case closure actions with the appropriate ASAE personnel. Assist with case reviews to validate the information is accurate and executable. Consolidate supporting documentation, review and input case closure transactions to DFAS with assistance from senior specialists. Monitor cases for closure and document using the appropriate tracking methods. Ensure documentation is placed in the designated repository and coordinate with leads for further tasking. Assist with meeting preparation, including briefing charts, minutes, trackers, and all administrative duties associated with international engagements as needed.
