Accountabilities:
- Translate strategic priorities into actionable plans with clear goals, ownership, timelines, success measures, and resource considerations.
- Align work across programs, policy, communications, operations, and growth initiatives by identifying dependencies, risks, and opportunities for collaboration.
- Build and maintain organizational planning systems, dashboards, operating rhythms, and accountability structures that support effective decision-making.
- Design and facilitate leadership meetings, planning cycles, progress reviews, and organizational processes that improve focus and execution.
- Serve as a strategic partner to executive leadership by providing recommendations on tradeoffs, sequencing, capacity, and organizational priorities.
- Reduce operational complexity by improving communication flows, documenting decisions, clarifying ownership, and strengthening follow-through.
- Identify and resolve cross-functional challenges related to scope, timing, priorities, and coordination before they impact progress.
- Establish practices that promote transparency, accountability, continuous improvement, and organizational learning.
- Support the expansion of new initiatives by ensuring alignment with broader strategic goals, evaluating progress, and capturing lessons for future growth.
- Help cultivate a culture of trust, collaboration, and mission-focused execution across the organization.
- 10+ years of experience in senior operations, strategy, chief of staff, organizational leadership, or similar roles.
- Experience working within complex nonprofit, education, social impact, or mission-driven organizations preferred.
- Demonstrated success translating organizational strategy into coordinated execution across multiple teams or functions.
- Experience designing and managing planning processes, operating rhythms, performance tracking systems, and organizational workflows.
- Proven ability to partner with executive leaders such as CEOs, Executive Directors, COOs, or equivalent roles.
- Strong understanding of nonprofit operations, resource constraints, and cross-functional collaboration.
- Experience leading organizations through growth, transformation, or increased operational complexity.
- Exceptional systems thinking, problem-solving, and ability to identify risks and opportunities before they become challenges.
- Strong project and portfolio management capabilities with excellent organizational skills.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate complex ideas clearly.
- High emotional intelligence with the ability to build trust, facilitate difficult conversations, and influence without direct authority.
- Strong judgment, discretion, and composure when navigating ambiguity and competing priorities.
- Commitment to mission-driven work and the ability to prioritize collective impact over individual recognition.
- Competitive salary range of $152,000 - $190,000 annually.
