About Euromonitor

Euromonitor International leads the world in data analytics and research into markets, industries, economies and consumers. We provide truly global insight and data on thousands of products and services; we are the first destination for organisations seeking growth. With our guidance, our clients can make bold, strategic decisions with confidence. Overview of the role

Overview of the role

Euromonitor successfully launched Passport E-Commerce in 2023 and has been growing its client base over the recent years. This solution uses a mixed-method approach to measure online retail sales by category, manufacturer, brand and retailer in consistent fashion across global markets. More information about this product is available at euromonitor.com/e-commerce. Reporting to the Product Manager – E-Commerce, this role will support the ongoing delivery, growth and development of this new product.

The E-Commerce Senior Analyst will be responsible for implementing new data sources, methods, and models, engaging with clients internally and externally, ensuring that published data are consistently of the highest possible quality and updated according to schedule. They will also support the Product Manager to drive the continued evolution of the Passport E-Commerce to better meet our clients’ needs. Finally, they will help manage subscription service deliveries and engage with clients directly to ensure the highest quality service.

To achieve these goals, the E-Commerce Senior Analyst will work closely across a wide range of internal and external stakeholders, including Data Science, Catalyst, Syndicated Research, Analytics, the wider New Product team, and third-party panel data providers. The successful applicant must demonstrate strong collaboration skills, with a proven track record for working effectively, constructively and positively across multiple teams.

This role sits within a wider Channels Practice, where the E-Commerce Senior Analyst will be part of broader group working across syndicated systems to ensure methodological consistency and data alignment. They will be expected to provide input and encourage best practices for mixed and centralized research methods at a business level.

Requirements

What you’ll do

The E-commerce Senior Analyst’s responsibilities will fall into four principal areas

* Building syndicated E-Commerce data for Passport (35%)

* Ensuring data accuracy and supporting internal teams (30%)

* Client support/engagement and delivering custom subscription services (25%)

* Product evolution (10%)

What we’re looking for

At Euromonitor, we value: Curiosity, Integrity, Empowerment, Diversity and Collaboration. For this role we need applicants with:

  • Strong analytical and quantitative research skills, with advanced Excel and a data-savvy mindset — someone who genuinely enjoys digging through datasets, spotting patterns, and connecting the logic between disparate sources.
  • Exposure to SQL and BI tools such as Tableau or Power BI is a plus, and the successful candidate will be expected to build proficiency in these on the job.
  • Demonstrated ownership of analysis, with the ability to independently investigate issues, identify root causes, and propose clear, actionable solutions, treating discrepancies in the data as puzzles to be solved rather than problems to flag and move past.
  • High standards for data integrity and a curiosity-driven approach to improving data quality and methodologies.
  • Solid commercial thinking, with the ability to translate client needs into robust, transparent, and well-sourced data.
  • Working knowledge of e-commerce metrics and data sources such as POS or EPOS, GMV, AOV, conversion, traffic, clickstream, web scraping, or e-receipts, or a strong willingness to learn.
  • Clear and confident communicator, able to explain complex concepts to non-experts, walk through the reasoning behind an estimate, and collaborate effectively across teams.
  • Comfortable working under pressure, managing priorities, and meeting tight deadlines.
  • Curious and growth-oriented mindset, with a natural inclination to ask "does this number make sense against everything else we know?" and an interest in contributing to new products, tools, or ways of working over time.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of the full range of Euromonitor products including Economies and Consumers, Survey, Via (Data Cube) and Industry data is an advantage.
