Position: Maintenance Supervisor
Department: Maintenance
Work Location: Arlington, TN. 100% Onsite
Hours: Monday-Friday, 2:30 pm - 11:00 pm (ability to work a varied shift as needed including weekends)
What you will be doing:
You will contribute to the overall success of the facility by supervising the maintenance and upkeep of the company's equipment, building(s), and grounds, in a manner that minimizes interruptions to the operation. Plans, directs, and implements safety programs to ensure a safe, healthy, and accident-free work environment.
- Manages the daily operations of the Maintenance Department, ensuring all organizational and departmental goals are met.
- Perform both scheduled and unscheduled troubleshooting, repairs, and preventive maintenance.
- Supervises maintenance department staff, including security personnel.
- Performs preventive maintenance to prevent unnecessary expenses and untimely failure, as needed.
- Oversees installation, repair, and maintenance of building systems, including electrical, plumbing, and mechanical.
- Monitors the use and inventory of spare parts, maintenance supplies, and equipment.
- Maintains accountabilities for all assigned budget lines and capital expenditures.
- Advises and supports team members as needed.
- Consults with vendors and security services to ensure satisfactory service levels and fair pricing.
- Recommends improvements to operational processes and resolves maintained performance.
- Plans, writes, and implements safety policies and procedures in compliance with local, state, and federal OSHA rules and regulations.
- Plans, develops, and implements training programs for managers and employees on safety practices, fire prevention, and proper handling of chemicals, equipment, and procedures.
- Inspects facility to detect hazards.
- Leads investigations into accidents and injuries.
- Maintains safety files and records.
- Supervises employees in compliance with company policies including hiring, training, scheduling, and directing work.
- Evaluates quality of work, conducts performance appraisals, and consults employees.
- Addresses complaints and resolves problems.
Skills needed to be successful in this role:
- Employee supervision and team leadership.
- Work assignment and scheduling.
- Cost control and budget management.
- Maintenance supply management.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- 3 + years of Maintenance Supervisory experience.
- Ability to lift to 50lbs.
- Prolonged standing/walking, physical mobility in maintenance environment.
- Must be able to work 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, weekends as needed .
- Authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior supervisory or management experience leading maintenance teams.
- Experience developing and implementing workplace safety programs.
