Principal Software Engineer (FullStack Development) - Assistant Vice President
Who we are looking for:
We are looking for a Full-Stack Engineer to provide senior technical leadership across UI and backend components, with a focus on building scalable, high-quality platform solutions as part of our UI Framework team.
Primary Responsibilities:
1. Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related degree
2. Min 15+ years of experience as a software engineer
3. 10+ years’ Experience with web development technologies (JavaScript) and JavaScript UI frameworks (ReactJS)
4. Strong skills in Typescript, JSX, Sass/SCSS, Styled components
5. 8+ years of experience building REST APIs using NodeJS/Java stack
6. Practical knowledge of web tooling such as webpack, storybook, NPM, babel, gulp and yarn
7. Strong familiarity with modern web development tools and patterns e.g. Redux, React Hooks, NodeJS
8. Keen eye for visual web design and passion for using modern techniques to create visually rich and interactive experience
9. Passionate about building excellent software with customer focus and empathy
10. Team player with a thirst to learn, sense of urgency, and ownership and thrive in fast-paced environment.
Nice to have:
1. Experience working with NoSQL Database
2. Experience with ElectronJS, Finsemble or OpenFin containers
3. Knowledge of container technologies like Docker, Kubernetes
4. Some experience in reactive libraries like RxJS (edited)
Education & Preferred Qualifications:
- Min 15+ years of professional software engineering experience.
- Expert-level knowledge of React and modern JavaScript frameworks, including the eco-systems these operate in
- Strong experience with architectural decision making.
- Experience leveraging AI tools as part of routine development and work activities
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Experience in financial services is a plus.
- Experience in Micro-Frontend Architecture desired.
