We are looking for a Senior Manager, EU ROC Fleet to join our Amazon Transportation Services (ATS) team. The position is located in Prague, Czech Republic (PRG14) and will report to the EU ROC Director. As the most senior ROC leader in Prague, you will shape the future of transportation operations through innovation, automation, and AI-driven solutions.


Key job responsibilities
As the most senior Regional Operations Center (ROC) leader in Prague and an integral part of the European Transportation Operations team, the Senior Manager, EU ROC Fleet is responsible for:

Strategic Leadership & Innovation
• Leading the Prague ROC as the most senior operations leader, setting strategic direction and operational standards for the site
• Driving AI integration across transportation operations to enhance decision-making, predictive analytics, and operational efficiency
• Automating current manual processes to increase scalability, reduce costs, and improve service reliability
• Managing through ambiguity by building scalable solutions in areas lacking established processes or clear precedents

Network Planning & Execution
• Planning and executing trailer compliance, repairs and distribution across the Amazon network to ensure a steady and uninterrupted supply for operations.
• Optimizing trailers movements to ensure that all unnecessary movements are minimized to avoid sunk costs.

Cross-Functional Partnership
• Interfacing with and influencing Amazon's Fulfillment Centers, Sortation Centers and Delivery Stations, Supply Chain, Customer Service, Retail, Finance, and Technology teams
• Partnering externally with service providers to deliver optimal logistics solutions
• Providing business and logistics expertise to enhance customer experience in a cost-effective environment

Operational Excellence
• Relentlessly focusing on metrics to measure performance, identify defects and trends, and implement sustainable solutions
• Driving standardization of operational procedures across the network
• Partnering with operations and technology teams to build repeatable, predictable structures that increase consistency and reliability

People Development
• Hiring, coaching, and developing team members to strengthen their operational and leadership capabilities
• Building the future leadership pipeline through active talent development and succession planning

Basic qualifications

- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- Fluency in English (written and verbal)
- Experience in operations management, program management, or project management
- Experience in team management and people development
- Experience in supply chain or transportation operations

Preferred qualifications

- Fluency in Czech (written and verbal)
- Experience developing or implementing AI tools and solutions in operational environments
- Experience implementing repeatable processes and driving automation or standardization
- Experience managing operations in ambiguous or rapidly changing environments
- Advanced degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain, or related field
- Experience leading cross-functional initiatives across multiple geographies
- Demonstrated ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive organizational change
