Accountabilities:
- Lead business requirement discussions with customers, internal teams, vendors, and stakeholders to understand business objectives and challenges.
- Manage end-to-end requirements activities across implementation projects, ensuring alignment between business needs and technical solutions.
- Develop business and functional requirements for healthcare administration domains including claims, enrollment, provider management, authorization, and payment systems.
- Analyze healthcare business processes and translate requirements into functional and technical specifications.
- Design solutions using core administration ecosystems and recommend process improvements based on customer needs.
- Collaborate with solution architects, product owners, development teams, and quality assurance teams to ensure successful delivery.
- Create workflow diagrams, system context diagrams, and process documentation including swim lane diagrams.
- Develop requirements plans aligned with project implementation timelines and identify risks, dependencies, and mitigation strategies.
- Support Agile delivery practices including sprint planning, retrospectives, demonstrations, and go-live readiness activities.
- Create and refine user stories while collaborating with offshore and distributed business analysis teams.
- Conduct requirement walkthroughs with customers and internal/external stakeholders.
- Identify opportunities for automation, improved performance, and reusable solutions.
- Support the development and testing lifecycle to ensure delivered solutions meet customer expectations.
- Present MVP demonstrations and contribute to customer adoption and implementation success.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in business, technology, or a related field, with 10+ years of relevant business analysis experience.
- Deep knowledge of healthcare insurance domains including Medicare, Medicare Advantage, Medicaid, ACA, or commercial health plans.
- Strong experience gathering, analyzing, documenting, and translating business requirements into technical solutions.
- Experience supporting healthcare core administration functions such as claims adjudication, enrollment, provider management, payments, and authorizations.
- Experience working with healthcare ecosystems and platforms such as HealthEdge, TriZetto, NASCO, Advantasure, or Change Healthcare is preferred.
- Experience mapping healthcare EDI transactions including 837, 834, 835, 270/271, 276/277, and 278.
- Ability to analyze EDI implementation guides, companion guides, and technical documentation.
- Experience documenting requirements, user stories, workflows, and functional specifications for technical teams.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and Scrum practices.
- Experience working in onshore/offshore delivery models.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage customers, partners, and internal stakeholders.
- Ability to identify customer challenges and collaborate with architecture teams to develop effective solutions.
- Understanding of SQL and XSDs is a plus.
- Experience with HealthEdge applications such as HealthRules Payor or GuidingCare is preferred.
- Ability to work effectively in remote environments across multiple time zones.
- Willingness to travel up to 25% as required.
- Competitive annual base salary range of $120,000–$140,000, depending on skills, experience, qualifications, and education.
