As an Receiving Clerk, you’re not just supporting timely and accurate billing and payment collections – you’re spreading the light and warmth of hospitality by delivering memorable experiences that make the stay for every guest.

Here's what you'll do during a typical day:

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Ensure the quality, quantity; prices and self life of the incoming supplies are according to the purchase orders.
  • Acceptance and close control of all incoming goods in respect of volume and quantity.
  • Maintain records for municipality and local authority requirements.
  • Update the purchasing manager and the Executive Chef on rejected deliveries, short supplies and non-supply of products for alternative actions.
  • Enter all internal goods movements into the computer system daily.
  • Support and encourage the objective of cost control and maintain traces for audit.
  • Update the Cost supervisor with all supporting at the end of the day.
  • Maintain updated documents related to supplies on order in the inventory system. 
  • To assist in carrying out quarterly, bi-yearly, yearly inventory of operating equipment.
  • Assist the Assistant and Cost Supervisor for month-end inventories and their reconciliations. 
  • Assist the Assistant and Cost Supervisor in administration of the Inventory system.
  • To carry out any other reasonable duties as assigned by the Assistant or Cost Supervisor.

  • Proficient in receiving, inspecting, and recording incoming goods accurately to maintain inventory accuracy.
  • Ability to spot discrepancies, damages, or defects in received items and take appropriate action
  • Capable of managing incoming shipments, maintaining records, and coordinating with other departments for timely deliveries.
  • Effective communication skills to liaise with vendors, carriers, and internal teams regarding shipments, discrepancies, and delivery schedules.
  • Familiarity with inventory management software or basic data entry skills for accurately updating receiving records and generating reports
