Revolution Medicines is a late-stage clinical oncology company developing novel targeted therapies for patients with RAS-addicted cancers. The company’s R&D pipeline comprises RAS(ON) inhibitors designed to suppress diverse oncogenic variants of RAS proteins. The company’s RAS(ON) inhibitors daraxonrasib (RMC-6236), a RAS(ON) multi-selective inhibitor; elironrasib (RMC-6291), a RAS(ON) G12C-selective inhibitor; zoldonrasib (RMC-9805), a RAS(ON) G12D-selective inhibitor; and RMC-5127, a RAS(ON) G12V-selective inhibitor, are currently in clinical development. As a new member of the Revolution Medicines team, you will join other outstanding professionals in a tireless commitment to patients with cancers harboring mutations in the RAS signaling pathway.

The Opportunity:

This is a unique opportunity for a Clinical Operations Professional who has innate leadership and organizational skills, technical expertise in clinical oncology drug development in an industry setting, and experience in negotiation, execution, and management of clinical trial vendor agreements budgets. The leadership role ensures alignment with strategic objectives, regulatory requirements, and study timelines as well as bringing deep expertise in managing complex trials, contract negotiations, budget development, risk management, and cross-functional collaboration to contribute to the highest quality with on time delivery of RevMed’s clinical studies.  A member of the Clinical Operations team Leading the Contracts and Outsourcing for all vendor relationships within Clinical Development, the Sr Director Global Vendor Outsourcing will lead the strategic identification and selection process with the teams for vendors and CROs, including scope specifications for clinical programs, and will work closely with the Sr. Director of Clinical Business Operations to support the financial and business negotiation process.  This role will play an integral role in the execution of the Company's clinical studies using CROs and vendors of the highest quality with on time delivery. The successful candidate needs to have the ability to manage the vendor outsourcing team, as well as develop robust systems and processes required for the team for seamless communication with the Clinical Operations team. Key Responsibilities include:

  • Develop and execute the global clinical outsourcing strategy, aligning vendor governance, contracting, and operational frameworks with Revolution Medicines' corporate objectives and clinical development priorities.

  • Provide strategic leadership and oversight for the Global Clinical Vendor Contracts function, driving operational excellence, scalable processes, standardized policies, and continuous improvement across the end-to-end contract lifecycle.

  • Serve as the executive sponsor for global clinical vendor relationships, establishing governance models, performance metrics (KPIs), preferred provider strategies, and risk management practices that optimize quality, cost, and delivery.

  • Lead cross-functional partnerships with Clinical Operations, Biometrics, Data Management, Safety, Regulatory, Quality, Finance, Legal, and IT to develop outsourcing strategies, negotiate commercial terms, and ensure seamless execution of clinical programs.

  • Direct strategic sourcing, RFP development, vendor evaluation, selection, and contract negotiations, including Master Service Agreements, work orders, change orders, consulting agreements, and clinical budgets.

  • Build and sustain high-performing vendor partnerships through proactive performance management, compliance oversight, issue resolution, and executive-level governance, ensuring vendors consistently meet contractual and operational expectations.

  • Anticipate, assess, and resolve complex business, operational, and vendor relationship challenges, serving as the senior escalation point for critical outsourcing and contract execution issues.

  • Champion innovation by monitoring industry trends, benchmarking best practices, and implementing new technologies, contracting models, and process improvements that enhance efficiency, scalability, and business performance.

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing Vendor Contracts organization by fostering collaboration, accountability, strategic thinking, and continuous professional growth while building organizational capabilities for future business needs.

  • Ensure appropriate vendor qualification, regulatory compliance, financial stewardship, and contractual risk mitigation through strong collaboration with Quality Assurance, Legal, Finance, and other key stakeholders.

  • Represent Global Clinical Vendor Outsourcing in senior leadership discussions, contributing strategic expertise, data-driven insights, and executive recommendations that support enterprise decision-making and successful delivery of the clinical development portfolio.

Required Skills, Experience and Education:

  • BS, plus 17+ years of experience or equivalent and 10+ years at a leadership role. Advanced degree desirable: Master, 15+ years experience and 8+ years leadership or Doctoral,  13+ years experience and 6+ years leadership.

  • Expertise in large, multi-site, early/late phase and postmarketing Oncology clinical trials.

  • Experience working in growing companies or departments that have created successful processes.

  • Must demonstrate clear understanding of Clinical contracting and budget process.

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills along with strong attention to detail. Proven ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently and effectively.

  • Comfortable in a fast-paced company environment and able to adjust workload based upon changing priorities.

  • Experience leading strategic change management initiatives across clinical operations or equivalent.

  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, with ability to interact with colleagues and partners at all levels of experience.

  • Proven understanding in global site budget and contract negotiations in order to achieve optimal results and develop plans to meet strategic and operational targets in alignment with RevMed.

  • Ability to produce, interpret and share complex performance information and communicate it to a wide variety of audiences.

  • Experience with hiring, training, developing, mentoring, and motivating team members to the highest level of performance.

  • An innovative, driven, and effective person with a "can do" attitude.

  • A goal-oriented person who can plan for the long-term and execute stated objectives.

  • Travel may be required (~25%).

Preferred Skills:

  • Familiarity working with financial and legal systems/portals.

  • Knowledge and/or familiarity with Ex-US region(s) clinical trial operations.

  • Working knowledge of applicable regulatory, ICH and GCP.

  • Global Project Level Budget Builds.

  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Smartsheet.
