Job Description
BAE Systems, one of the world's leading defense contractors, is hiring a Configuration Analyst I to support Configuration Management activities on Combat Vehicle Programs. This role can be on-site or hybrid on-site (50% or more on-site) and will be on a 9/80 schedule with every other Friday off.
In this role, you will:
- Join a team responsible for performing Configuration Management (CM) activities related to the design, development, and production of complex systems in a defense environment.
- Deliver and maintain the engineering technical data package (TDP), apply CM processes in accordance with the CM Plan, and generate reports on the status of system designs.
- Support configuration management and quality audits and developing solutions to problems of moderate scope and complexity, using guidance from company policies and procedures.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline OR an Associate’s degree in a technical discipline with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience, or a High school diploma/GED with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience.
- Good computer skills with MS Office suite to prepare appropriate metrics, reports and documents
- Experience using a product data management tool highly preferred (i.e. WindChill, TeamCenter)
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
- Ability to demonstrate/ develop research and presentation skills
- Attention to detail, coupled with good time management and organization skills
- Sound interpersonal skills for interfacing and coordinating with company personnel, customers, and suppliers
- Ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment
- Ability to make decisions using sound judgment while complying with policies, procedures, appropriate principles and applicable state and federal laws and regulations
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
- DoD experience preferred
- Industrial Engineering or Systems Engineering
- Experience applying industry standards and meeting government requirements
- General knowledge of relevant configuration management and design engineering standards, manufacturing processes and documentation including military standards MIL-HDBK-61, MIL-STD-31000, industry CM standard EIA-649, and drawing standard ASME Y14.100
- Formal training in Configuration Data Management (CDM)
- MS Excel advanced user knowledge of complex formulas (pivot tables, vlookups, macros) strongly preferred
- Experience managing BOM structures
- Familiarity with CMMI requirements
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $64926 - $110374

However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
