The Gulf Coast Joint Venture (GCJV) Coastal Grassland Restoration Incentive Program (CGRIP) and Habitat Delivery Coordinator works as part of the GCJV Office that supports a multi-organizational partnership of state, federal, NGO, and private conservation organizations that have assumed responsibility for the pursuit of priority bird habitat conservation, linked to national and international bird conservation plans, within the GCJV region (www.GCJV.org). The incumbent is expected to serve as a conservation delivery leader among a broad suite of conservation organizations and habitats that comprise the GCJV’s socio-political and geographic landscape. The C-GRIP and Habitat Delivery Coordinator will work collaboratively with GCJV partners to develop and implement conservation projects and programs spanning public and private lands that contribute to GCJV bird habitat objectives for grasslands, estuarine and palustrine wetlands, forests, bird nesting islands, and other habitats. This position requires an understanding of the GCJV and ABC missions, and a knowledge of Joint Venture structure and function (see www.GCJV.org). The GCJV Office, supervised by the GCJV Coordinator, is located within the USGS Wetland & Aquatic Research Center in Lafayette, Louisiana. The position will be administratively supervised by the Gulf Coastal Program Director within the Southeast Region of ABC, but the day to day activities and workplan will be handled by the Gulf Coast JV Coordinator. This is a full-time in-person position that requires some travel (up to 25%) within (mostly) and beyond the GCJV region.Primary Duties:1. Coordinate the GCJV’s Coastal Grassland Restoration Incentive Program in Texas and Louisiana, including the following:Seeking and maintaining funding support from a variety of non-federal sourcesMaintaining updated proposal templates, application guidance, eligibility criteria, eligible conservation practices, and incentive payment ratesIncorporating program guidance as appropriate from the GCJV Board and relevant GCJV Initiative Teams of field-level habitat delivery partners who serve as potential Project ManagersKeeping the GCJV Board, relevant GCJV Initiative Teams, and other key partners informed about the program, including developing and distributing periodic RFPsManaging proposal applications and ensuring eligibilityMaintaining effective and independent Review Committees, facilitating their reviews of proposals, and ensuring that applicants modify proposals as appropriateCoordinating with administering NGOs to develop and execute agreements with landownersCoordinating with Project Managers to verify project completionCoordinating with administering NGOs to issue payments to...
