The Director, Strategy Advancement provides data-based strategic direction to identify and address business issues and opportunities. Provides business intelligence and strategic planning support for business segments or the company at large. The Director, Strategy Advancement requires an in-depth understanding of how organization capabilities interrelate across the function or segment.The Director, Strategy Advancement leads initiatives to analyze complex business problems and issues using data from internal and external sources. Brings expertise or identifies subject matter experts in support of multi-functional efforts to identify, interpret, and produce recommendations and plans based on company and external data analysis. Ensures that policies and procedures align with corporate vision. Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel ensuring efficient operation of the function. Decisions are typically related to the implementation of new/updated programs or large-scale projects for the function and supporting technical/operational procedures and processes, and implements strategic plans, drives goals and objectives, and improves performance. Provides input into functions strategy.
Specifically, the Wellness Director, Strategy Advancement is responsible for leading the development, design, and execution of Humana's Wellness Rewards and Loyalty Strategy to attract, engage, and retain members while driving sustainable behavior change and improved health outcomes. This role serves as the strategic leader for the evolution of Humana's wellness rewards ecosystem, overseeing the design of innovative, member-centric reward programs, engagement models, benefits, incentives, and partnerships that increase participation, strengthen loyalty, and deliver measurable business value. The Director will identify emerging market trends and best practices, translate insights into differentiated program strategies, and develop scalable reward structures that align member needs with enterprise objectives. As a key architect of the wellness engagement vision, this leader will champion a loyalty- and rewards-centric mindset across the organization, fostering a shared understanding of engagement drivers and establishing a discipline of ongoing measurement, optimization, and performance management. Through strong cross-functional leadership and influence, the Director will align stakeholders across Wellness, Marketing, Digital, Product, Clinical, and Operations teams to design and deliver high-impact programs that enhance the member experience and advance enterprise goals. As a trusted strategic partner, the Wellness Director, Strategy Advancement will provide thought leadership, strategic guidance, and operational support to accelerate innovation, drive execution, and position Humana as an industry leader in wellness engagement, rewards, and loyalty program design.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree
- 8 or more years of technical experience, including reward and/or loyalty program experience in either health care, financial services, travel or hospitality
- 5 or more years of management experience
- Experience with economics of reward programs from liability, expense and ROI contribution
- Solid understanding of applicable metrics for measuring and managing customer loyalty and retention
- Prior experience leveraging customer insights to define strategies and target outcomes, including research, journey mapping, consumer
- Data-driven marketing experience, especially to drive engagement, loyalty and program value
- Experience with health insurance Sales, Market and Provider interactions
- Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences
- Excellent communication, negotiation and diplomacy skill, and strong informal influencing skills.
- Track record of working cross-functionally; illustrating the ability to lead projects, appropriately exert influence, build consensus/alignment across teams and achieve measurable results without direct authority.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience activating Sales, Markets and Providers to energize and maximize program performance in service of shared outcomes
- Understanding of complex or regulated consumer industries a plus
- Progressive work experience in the Health Insurance industry
- Comprehensive knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Master's Degree

Travel: While this is a remote position, occasional travel to Humana's offices for training or meetings may be required.

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.
