Accountabilities:
- Develop, write, maintain, and improve Information Security Management System (ISMS) documentation, including policies, standards, procedures, and guidelines.
- Ensure security documentation is clear, accurate, accessible, and aligned with recognized frameworks such as ISO 27001 and NIST.
- Manage the full lifecycle of security content, including drafting, reviewing, publishing, and continuous improvement processes.
- Design and execute security awareness and training programs to strengthen cybersecurity knowledge across teams.
- Create engaging communication materials, including presentations, newsletters, intranet content, and educational resources.
- Coordinate security awareness campaigns, events, and initiatives that encourage a strong security-focused culture.
- Measure the effectiveness of training and awareness activities and provide insights and reports to leadership.
- Partner with security subject matter experts to ensure communications are accurate, relevant, and aligned with business objectives.
- Act as a key contact for security-related communications, questions, and information requests.
- Support security compliance activities, audits, and governance initiatives.
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Information Technology, Information Security, or a related field.
- 3–6 years of experience in communications, with preference given to candidates with cybersecurity or IT communication experience.
- Experience supporting information security compliance initiatives, including frameworks such as ISO 27001, SOC 2, or FedRAMP.
- Proven experience creating and managing documentation for formal management systems such as ISMS or QMS.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and deliver effective security awareness and training programs.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to simplify complex technical concepts for non-technical audiences.
- Strong project management, organization, and coordination skills.
- Experience supporting security audits or compliance reviews.
- Familiarity with security frameworks and standards such as ISO 27001, NIST, or CIS Controls is a plus.
- Relevant certifications such as CISM or CISSP are desirable but not required.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with technical teams and business stakeholders in a remote work environment.
