The Business Analyst 1 – OPS provides foundational support for assigned business processes and/or systems within Consumer Loan Servicing. This role is well suited for someone who is highly organized, accountable, and a strong critical thinker, with the ability to manage deadlines, keep stakeholders informed, and identify when issues, data, or process results require additional review. The position also supports analysis, documentation, testing, issue resolution, and continuous process improvement under guidance from senior analysts or leadership.
Job Description Summary
Provides entry-level to intermediate support for assigned business processes and/or systems, including:
Assisting with the identification, documentation, and support of process and system impacts or changes.
Researching issues and escalating findings with recommended actions.
Supporting testing activities and implementation of approved business processes and/or system modifications.
Assisting with documentation, reporting, and user support related to applications, products, and procedures.
Assisting with new colleague access request and tracking of process and reconciliation.
Duties and Responsibilities
Supports assigned work items, requests, or initiatives under guidance while maintaining strong organization and follow-through.
Assists in defining, tracking, and updating work items or requests, ensuring deadlines, communication, and accountability are maintained.
Gathers information and supports preparation of basic requirements or documentation for assigned requests.
Researches process or system issues, analyzes reports and findings, identifies unusual results or patterns, and escalates concerns as appropriate.
Help maintain documentation, job aids, trackers, and reference materials.
Supports reporting activities by generating, updating, monitoring, and analyzing reports, files, and data to identify trends, discrepancies, or potential issues.
Responds to routine questions and provides support to internal business partners, escalating complex issues as needed.
Works collaboratively with team members, business partners, and vendors to support operational needs.
Identifies opportunities for process improvement and helps support more efficient, effective ways of completing work.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications
3 or more years of business project and/or agile work experience (banking, operations, analysis, or related field)
High School Diploma or equivalent
Preferred Qualifications
Basic understanding of banking or financial services operations
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Strong proficiency with MS Office Suite, with advanced or highly effective Excel skills preferred
Demonstrated ability to research issues, interpret reports or data, document findings, and follow defined processes
Detail-oriented with strong organizational, follow-up, and accountability skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment while managing communication and completing tasks on time
Strong critical thinking skills, including the ability to identify patterns, perform root cause analysis, and recognize when results require deeper review
Interest in process improvement and experience using data analysis to support better business outcomes
Willingness to learn new systems, processes, and tools
