Job Description
- BAE Systems has a program to provide a wide range of support services the island of Kauai, Hawaii. The Mission Planning Analyst translates program requirements into actionable range support plans and official technical documentation. This role support the development of program presentations and briefings, test plans, countdowns, technical reports, Statements of Capability, Program Support Plans and Operations Directives.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, or related field.
- Experience in Range Operations or Test & Evaluation (T&E) planning.
- Proficiency in MS Project or similar Gantt chart scheduling software.
- Experience in resource management.
- Experience drafting DoD technical manuals or operational guides.
- Translates program requirements into actionable range support plans.
- Responsible for analyzing Program Requirements Documents (PRD) and drafting the Statement of Capability (SC) and Program Support Plans (PSP).
- Coordinates with Range Customers to identify system gaps and recommend implementation strategies.
- Authors and maintains official range technical documentation. Responsible for drafting and publishing the Program Management Operations Guide (PMOG), maintaining the Test Events History database, and drafting Operation Directives (OD) based on final Operations Requirements.
- Manages the Range Scheduling System (RSS).
- Develops the 12-month Program Master Schedule and the T&E Universal Documentation Support (UDS) Schedule.
- Ensures efficient de-confliction of assets, systems, and personnel to avoid work hours exceeding 14 hours per day.
- Provides real-time administrative and coordination support during mission events.
- Drafts and distributes mission timelines and countdowns.
- Records "redline" adjustments to timelines within 2 hours of event completion.
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
- Experience with the Range Commander’s Council (RCC) 501-12 Universal Documentation System.
- Knowledge of telemetry, optics, and radar range support.
- Experience using the Range Scheduling System (RSS).
- Prior experience in a high-tempo T&E environment.
- Experience with DoD-standard documentation formats and version control systems.
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $67406 - $114590
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
