The Process and Compliance Senior Principal Engineer will be responsible for shaping and driving the future of the Bike Shop and its programs in command media development and maintenance related to procurement, prototyping, fabrication, assembly, inspection and test of engineering hardware. As the leader, you will serve as the primary authority for understanding Command Media that is relevant to the organization, recommending and implementing updates as you find inconsistencies, ensuring our overall compliance, and sharing knowledge.

What You Will Do

  • This position is expected to have a significant impact on the Bike Shop and its program customers through the following contributions:

  • Compliance: Gain a deep understanding of execution processes within the Bike Shop. Align the Bike Shop day-to-day execution with expectations and policies related to procurement, prototyping fabrication, assembly, inspection and test of engineering hardware as documented in CommandIQ.

  • Governance: Responsible authority for Bike Shop Command Media and Governance. Ensure accountability and compliance through structured oversight.

  • Knowledge Sharing: Align Center,  Department, and Program Leadership on key process changes prior to implementation. Teach Bike Shop leadership an overview of relevant Command Media and best practices for implementation. Establish communications plan and cadence within the Center to inform of new policies and guidelines.

  • Work with programs and customers to solve process-related issues as they arise.

  • Operational Efficiency: Streamline procurement and prototyping processes, eliminate redundancy, and strengthen collaboration between the Bike Shop, and other relevant functions to ensure the right data is captured and that we’re following Command Media to the best intent.

  • Risk Mitigation: Proactively identify and address risks related to accuracy and compliance. Risks could be related to department or program execution.

  • Innovation Enablement: Facilitate the integration of new ideas, best practices, and technologies through cross-functional dialogue and alignment.

  • Communication and Transparency: Promote open communication and ensure decisions are well-documented, shared, and understood across the organization.

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Typically requires a Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years’ experience

  • Experience in functional engineering (Section Lead) and a minimum of 5 years of experience leading engineering prototype material procurement, fabrication and assembly

  • Ability to obtain U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required after start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Experience in network across command media functional representatives

  • In Depth of knowledge across Hardware Engineering development, documentation and configuration management processes

  • Active Secret Clearance (Department of Defense).

  • Certified Raytheon CORE Apprentice

  • Proven ability as an engineering leader to influence teams to achieve desired result.

  • A minimum of 5 yrs of experience working within the Raytheon Command Media infrastructure, with a depth of knowledge of all applicable command media

The salary range for this role is 132,400 USD - 251,600 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
