For more than 50 years, St. Anthony North Hospital has delivered optimal health care to the communities of Westminster, Erie, Brighton, Broomfield, Northglenn and Thornton. Highlights of our campus include 60,000 square feet of integrated primary and specialty care physician clinics, ambulatory surgery center, birthing center with private birthing suites, Level III Trauma Center with 24/7 emergency services, over 150 inpatient beds and an outpatient diagnostics center with lab and imaging services. To provide leadership and accountability in the strategic and daily operations of the clinical service. Develops and maintains excellent physician and associate relations, accountable for the quality of patient care provided by the nursing service. Responsible for planning, organizing, directing, and evaluating all functions of the service to include quality, administrative, and financial outcomes. Oversees the delivery of patient care and has the responsibility for establishing standards of nursing practice for the service and the nursing professional practice as a whole. Assure achievement of department, nursing division and hospital goals as well as adherence to hospital policies and standards set forth by accreditation and regulatory agencies. May provide leadership over other departments that collaborate with nursing for care of the patients served. 

 

Span of control 250 head count and/or specialty alignment. May carry between 4 to 6 leaders as direct reports. Between 4 to 8 centers reporting. Reports to CNO/VP Patient Care Services. 

 

Job Requirements

In addition to bringing humankindness to the workplace each day, qualified candidates will need the following:

  • A degree in nursing (BSN or MSN).
  • A Master’s degree in healthcare required within two (2) years of hire.
  • OR, A Master of Healthcare Administration (MHA) or Master of Business Administration (MBA) may be considered if the candidate holds a current BSN.  Required within two (2) years of hire.
  • 4 years progressive clinical leadership experience.
  • Experience in Acute Care.
  • Registered Nurse: RN license to practice in state of employment as applicable.
  • Nursing Specialty Certification: Sit within 6 months. Must achieve within 1 year of hire or transfer to the role.

 

Successful candidates will possess proven leadership in an Emergency Department Manager role. Candidates with Director-level experience in an ED are strongly encouraged to apply.
