Job Description
As a Security Officer Facility Screener in Atlanta, GA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as a Screener at a government location, where you will monitor entry points, screen visitors and staff, verify badges, and support access control procedures. - Provide customer service by carrying out screening procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a government location.
- Screen visitors, employees, and/or contractors entering the location by following access control procedures and checking identification and permitted items.
- Monitor entry points and screening equipment, report suspicious activity or prohibited items, and respond to incidents in a calm, problem-solving manner.
- Communicate with staff, visitors, and public personnel regarding screening expectations, access procedures, and other security-related concerns.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter as assigned, with working environments and conditions varying by site.
Minimum Requirements:
- Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- CPR certification is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
