Director, Merchandising, HK
WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH
The Director, Merchandising, HK will report directly to the General Manager, Hongkong and serve as a key member of the Hongkong Leadership Team.
This role will lead the Hongkong Merchandising function and closely partner with Geography and Territory teammates to ensure alignment of consumer insights, territory priorities and commercial objectives in support of the broader Hongkong business strategy.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, Merchandising or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education, experience and training.
- 10+ years of experience in merchandising, marketplace management, retail or related commercial functions.
- Strong understanding of retail, marketplace dynamics and consumer behavior.
- Experience developing and executing assortment and merchandising strategies within a territory environment.
- Ability to translate marketplace insights and business performance into actionable strategies and plans.
- Strong analytical capabilities with experience utilizing retail and profitability metrics to support decision making.
- Experience balancing long-, mid- and short-term business priorities.
- Strong influencing and stakeholder management skills with the ability to work effectively across functions and organizational levels.
- Demonstrated leadership capability in managing teams and navigating dynamic business environments.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English and Mandarin preferred.
WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON
As the Director, Merchandising, Hongkong, you will be responsible for leading the merchandising strategy and seasonal assortment direction for Hongkong.
You will drive consumer-right and territory-relevant assortments that serve the needs of the Hongkong consumer while supporting the financial and strategic objectives of the business.
To that end, you will:
Territory Merchandising Strategy
- Define and lead the Hongkong merchandising strategy in support of consumer and business priorities.
- Translate consumer, marketplace and commercial insights into merchandising strategies and seasonal priorities.
- Drive a differentiated assortment approach that serves the unique needs of Hongkong.
- Identify territory opportunities and emerging trends to support sustainable growth.
Assortment Planning & Seasonal Execution
- Lead the development and execution of seasonal assortment frameworks across channels.
- Guide pre-season, in-season and post-season merchandising processes to optimize consumer impact and business performance.
- Ensure assortments are balanced across consumer demand, inventory productivity and commercial objectives.
- Drive territory segmentation and assortment decisions in partnership with cross-functional teams.
Business & Commercial Leadership
- Apply merchandising expertise and business acumen to support financial and operational objectives.
- Utilize retail, profitability and marketplace performance metrics to inform decision making.
- Identify risks and opportunities and develop action plans to improve business outcomes.
- Support long-term territory growth through disciplined planning and execution.
Team & Organizational Leadership
- Lead and develop a high-performing merchandising team.
- Strong enterprise thinking and collaboration with the leadership and cross-functional team
- Establish merchandising best practices and ways of working within the function.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability and continuous improvement.
