The Customer Data Consultant is a key member of Axonify's Customer Solutions team, serving as the primary resource for customers looking to unlock the full value of their Axonify data. You'll partner directly with customers to answer complex business questions, lead analytical engagements, deliver executive-ready insights, and build scalable solutions that help customers maximize the impact of their frontline programs.
This role blends customer consulting, data analytics, technical problem solving, and business storytelling. You'll lead everything from custom data requests and Business Value Analyses to enterprise API integration consulting, while helping build the tools, frameworks, and best practices that scale how data is delivered across our customer base.

You'll partner directly with customers to answer complex business questions, lead analytical engagements, deliver executive-ready insights, and build scalable solutions that help customers maximize the impact of their frontline programs.
This role blends customer consulting, data analytics, technical problem solving, and business storytelling. You'll lead everything from custom data requests and Business Value Analyses to enterprise API integration consulting, while helping build the tools, frameworks, and best practices that scale how data is delivered across our customer base.
What You’ll Build
Customer Data Discovery & Custom Data Requests
- Partner with customers to understand their business questions and data needs through structured discovery conversations.
- Scope, prioritize, and execute Custom Data Requests by translating ambiguous business questions into clear, actionable analytical deliverables.
- Own the end-to-end lifecycle of customer data requests, from intake and scoping through delivery and stakeholder presentations.
- Build and maintain reusable queries, templates, and frameworks that accelerate delivery across common customer data scenarios.
Business Value Analysis
- Lead the Business Value Analysis (BVA) process end-to-end—from data gathering and statistical analysis to executive-ready storytelling that quantifies program ROI.
- Connect Axonify program outcomes to measurable business impact, including reduced turnover, improved compliance, and increased sales performance.
- Develop scalable Business Value Analysis methodologies and analytical standards that can be consistently applied across the customer portfolio.
- Collaborate with Customer Success Managers to identify Business Value Analysis opportunities throughout the customer lifecycle, including onboarding, Quarterly Business Reviews, renewals, and expansions.
In-Life API Solutions & Integrations
- Lead the technical onboarding and integration of enterprise customers, guiding them from API discovery through successful production launch.
- Serve as the primary technical point of contact for customer development teams, troubleshooting API integrations, authentication issues, and payload mismatches.
- Architect customized API solutions that align customer workflows with Axonify's product capabilities while supporting long-term scalability.
Internal Tools & Scalable Data Infrastructure
- Design and build internal tools and automations that streamline data workflows, reduce manual effort, and enable scalable delivery of customer insights.
- Develop scalable content auditing and data subscription capabilities that ensure consistent, high-quality customer outputs.
- Establish best practices and documentation for repeatable customer reporting solutions.
- Partner with Product to identify platform capability gaps and influence future productized data solutions.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Collaborate with Marketing to identify analytics opportunities that strengthen customer campaigns.
- Support pre-sales and renewal conversations with data-driven business case materials.
- Ensure data initiatives align with customer objectives and Axonify data governance standards.
- Mentor Data Analysts by providing technical guidance and sharing best practices in data consulting and analysis.
What You’ll Bring
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Business Analysis, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in data analysis, business intelligence, systems analysis, or business analysis, ideally within a SaaS environment.
- Proven ability to conduct customer-facing discovery conversations and translate business questions into analytical scopes.
- Strong proficiency in SQL for querying and analyzing relational databases or data warehouses.
- Proficiency in Python or R with practical experience applying statistical methods to business problems.
- Expertise with analytics and reporting tools, particularly Power BI.
- Experience building Business Value Analyses and ROI models that connect program data to executive-level business outcomes.
- Experience building internal tools or automation solutions that improve operational efficiency.
- Advanced proficiency with Excel or Google Sheets. Experience with Google AppScript is considered a strong asset.
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to translate complex data into clear strategic insights for non-technical stakeholders.
- A strong consulting mindset with experience managing multiple customer engagements simultaneously.
