Accountabilities:
- Design and implement scalable Salesforce solutions aligned with enterprise technology strategies, translating business requirements into durable technical architectures.
- Architect integrations between Salesforce, Azure, SQL Server, and third-party platforms using REST/SOAP/Bulk APIs, Platform Events, Change Data Capture, and middleware solutions.
- Define and maintain integration standards, security controls, monitoring practices, and technical documentation.
- Own Salesforce platform strategy, including roadmap planning, environment management, security models, deployment processes, release management, and technical debt reduction.
- Establish data governance practices covering data modeling, quality management, master data management, and platform optimization.
- Lead architecture decisions across Salesforce NPSP, Nonprofit Cloud, Experience Cloud, Data Cloud, and AI-powered solutions.
- Drive migration planning and execution strategies from legacy nonprofit solutions toward modern Salesforce capabilities.
- Serve as a hands-on architect and principal developer, providing technical direction, code reviews, engineering standards, and quality oversight.
- Develop and maintain solutions using Apex, Lightning Web Components, Flows, APIs, and enterprise integration patterns.
- Design AI-enabled solutions using Salesforce Agentforce, Einstein AI, Einstein Copilot, and prompt engineering practices with responsible AI controls.
- Support Experience Cloud portals, self-service solutions, and personalized digital experiences.
- Act as the escalation point for complex production issues, integration challenges, performance concerns, and data integrity incidents.
- Partner with internal teams and external consultants to deliver high-quality solutions while promoting best practices and continuous improvement.
- 8+ years of enterprise technology experience, including at least 3 years in a Salesforce Architect or Lead Developer role.
- Extensive experience designing Salesforce architectures across Experience Cloud, Data Cloud, NPSP, and Nonprofit Cloud environments.
- Advanced proficiency with Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Flows, SOQL/SOSL, JavaScript, and Salesforce APIs.
- Strong experience with enterprise integrations, including REST/SOAP/Bulk APIs, Platform Events, Change Data Capture, and middleware patterns.
- Experience with Salesforce data architecture, migration planning, large data volume strategies, and platform optimization.
- Hands-on experience implementing Agentforce, Einstein AI, Einstein Copilot, Prompt Builder, and AI-driven workflow automation.
- Knowledge of DevOps practices, Salesforce DX, Git, CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation, and release management.
- Experience with Azure, SQL Server, Tableau, Salesforce CLI, and VS Code is preferred.
- Strong understanding of Salesforce Well-Architected Framework principles, security practices, and governance models.
- Ability to manage complex technical initiatives, prioritize competing demands, and deliver sustainable solutions.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Strong collaboration skills and experience working with developers, administrators, business teams, and external partners.
- Salesforce Certified Application Architect or System Architect certification required.
- Salesforce Platform Developer II certification required.
- Salesforce Data Architect, Integration Architect, or Nonprofit Cloud Consultant certifications are preferred.
- Competitive salary range of $155,000 - $170,000 annually, depending on experience, location, and qualifications.
