Post-pandemic, we have evolved our platform to power academic learning, incorporated AI, and have begun to grow our international community. We're proud to have served over 1.5M passionate learners with more than $100M in annual bookings. Driving disruptive, positive change in education is rewarding and hard. Outschool team members are encouraged to challenge themselves, take risks, and grow in their careers. We look for talented people whose sense of urgency, innate curiosity, and determination to drive impact will help Outschool achieve outsized results in pursuit of our mission. We invite you to be part of an ambitious team dedicated to ensuring every learner can navigate the future with curiosity, resilience, and a love of learning. The Role
We're looking for a Senior Performance Marketer, Search to own and scale our Google, Bing and ChatGPT program as a dedicated, high-impact channel. This is a 6-month contract role with the intention to convert to full-time based on performance and fit. You'll sit within our performance marketing team and report to the Head of Growth. While a Senior Performance Marketer owns paid social, you'll be the in-house expert on search - owning keyword strategy, campaign architecture, bidding, and automation end-to-end.
This is a hands-on execution role for someone who is equally comfortable in the weeds of campaign management and in front of leadership sharing data-driven recommendations. You'll be expected to move quickly, operate AI-first, and bring a builder's mindset to a channel with significant untapped opportunity.
Core Responsibilities:
Own Paid Search & Emerging Ad Channels
- Design and execute the global paid search strategy across Google, Bing and ChatGPT ads - including keyword architecture, match type strategy, bid management, and campaign structure tied to CAC and acquisition goals
- Manage day-to-day campaign operations: ad copy refresh, budget pacing, Quality Score optimization, and conversion tracking hygiene
- Own Performance Max campaigns, understanding when and how to deploy them alongside traditional search to maximize coverage and efficiency
Use AI to Move Faster
- Use AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Gemini, or similar) to speed up everyday tasks like drafting ad copy variants, building keyword lists, summarizing performance, and structuring reports
- Stay current on how AI is reshaping search - including Performance Max, AI Overviews, and Smart Bidding - and bring a point of view on what it means for how we work
- Reduce repetitive manual work over time by building more scalable workflows, even if that starts simple
Drive Performance Analytics
- Analyze campaign performance regularly and generate clear, actionable insights for cross-functional stakeholders and leadership
- Build and maintain dashboards that give real-time visibility into pipeline contribution, CAC, ROAS, and channel efficiency
- Design and execute A/B tests on ad copy, landing pages, and bidding strategies with statistical rigor; communicate results and scale winners
Collaborate Cross-Functionally
- Partner with the Senior Performance Marketer owning paid social and teams to ensure messaging consistency and share learnings across channels
- Work with data and product to align on attribution methodology, first-party audience signals, and landing page optimization
Desired Experience & Skills:
- 3-5 years of hands-on performance marketing experience with a primary focus on paid search
- Deep expertise in Google Ads - including Search, Performance Max, and audience-based buying - with a track record of managing sizable budgets ($500K+/month) to CAC targets
- YouTube Ads experience (TrueView, Demand Gen, or video-forward PMax)
- Strong command of keyword architecture, match type strategy, and Quality Score optimization
- Highly analytical with the ability to build and interpret dashboards using BI tools - without needing a dedicated analyst
- Demonstrated experience using AI tools to increase productivity and scale output
- Solid grasp of conversion tracking, attribution, and tag management (Google Tag Manager experience preferred)
- Comfortable operating independently and managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
- Strong ad copywriting sensibility with a self-starter approach to testing
- Landing page judgment -- can spot what's killing conversion and brief a fix
- Experience in B2C, edtech, or ecommerce is a plus
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, or a related field preferred
Other considerations:
- Microsoft Advertising (Bing Ads) experience
- Familiarity with incrementality testing and MMM in the context of search
- Experience with international/global search campaigns and localization strategies
- SEO fundamentals and ability to collaborate across the organic/paid divide
- Familiarity with how AI Overviews are reshaping the paid/organic interplay
