Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Serves as a dynamic and energetic leader, while fostering teamwork, employee morale, motivation and open communication.  Establishes self as highly credible leader with highest levels of integrity, and always acts in the best interests of the property and the company.  Acts as a role model and coach while developing employees using a consistent, approachable demeanor and clearly articulating expectations. Ensures that team members clearly understand and are held accountable for their performance expectations.  Works as a change agent and challenges the departmental processes to improve and streamline department operations, through the continuous assessment of policies and procedures, work processes and program effectiveness and value.  Demonstrates excellent facilitator skills in resolving conflicts between different points of view.  Demonstrates leadership skills in determining a vision, aligns and inspires the team to achieve the vision.

 

Directs the overall functions of EVS and ensures operations effectiveness and guides all employees in these areas.

  • Directs the functions of EVS in accordance with company goal and objectives.  

  • Hires trains and evaluates all EVS employees.  

  • Coordinates cross-training between all EVS  Departments

  • Responsible for cost center and capital expenditures including budgeting, project planning and execution.    

  • Hold employees accountable for their performance.

  • Rewards employees for exceptional performance.  

  • Oversees EVS operations; scheduling labor to PAT guidelines.  

  • Ensures that team members clearly understand and are held accountable for their performance expectations.

  • Provides appropriate recognition and rewards to individuals and groups when consistent superior performance is attained.  

  • Works as a change agent and challenges the departmental processes to improve and streamline department operations, through the continuous assessment of policies and procedures, work processes and program effectiveness and value.  

  • Conducts training programs for personnel.  

  • Partners and Coordinates with other departments to ensure total guest satisfaction and efficient operations in a safe, friendly, comfortable environment, by well-trained, motivated employees.  

  • Embraces, role models and implements all elements of our customer service program including Spotlight on Service and Buzz Sessions, and tier prioritized service.  

  • Recommends and implements change to improve overall employee and guest satisfaction.  

  • Establishes and endorses the business objectives, ethics and values of Caesar’s Entertainment Inc. in accordance with the Code of Commitment.

EVS Responsibilities:

 

  • Maintains constant and effective communication with all property stake holders on projects, needs, and processes.  

  • Assists in the planning and execution of casino interior renovations and expansion projects.  

  • Responsible for preparing and submitting preventive maintenance, and capital expenditure requests that will increase departments’ overall performance.  

  • Ensures compliance with all safety standard codes with regard to the use of chemicals and when working with wet floors, etc.  

  • Researches, obtains, and maintains technological information, (MSDS.)  

  • Assists with planning and preparation of annual budget and capital expense requests.

  • Reassigns employees when necessary to ensure smooth operation in all areas of casino floor. 

  • Carries out inspections and administers Quality Assurance Program on assigned shift.  

  • Ensures adequate supplies in all areas.


 

Qualifications:

Physical, Mental & Environmental Demands:         

  • Must be able to maneuver and work inside kitchen area, sometimes in heat in excess of 130 degrees or cold in excess of 0 degrees.  

  • Must be able to stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, push and pull while performing kitchen duties.  

  • Must be able to respond calmly and make rational decisions when handling guests and employee conflicts.  

  • Must be able to remain calm in stressful situations.  

  • Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs.  

  • Must be able to push and pull carts weighing up to 200lbs.  

  • Must be able to respond to visual and aural cues.  

  • Ability to read, writes, speak and understand English fluently.  

  • Must be able to operate all kitchen equipment and machinery.  

  • Must be able to work in a smoke filled environment and able to sit and stand for prolonged periods of time.

Requirements:

  •  College degree preferred; minimum of 3 years of EVS supervision experience required

  • A working knowledge of sanitation requirements.

  • Certification in sanitation management a plus.

  • Must be able to operate a computer.  

  • Knowledge of P & L statements and budget.

  • Ability to administer direct supervision of assigned staff, flexible, patient, understanding, fair and firm.

  • Must be able to work independently.  

  • Must be able to work in a fast paced environment.  

  • Must be able to perform physical job duties of line employees in emergency situation

 

Must be able to obtain and maintain the appropriate license through the Maryland Lottery and Gaming Control Agency.
