Now, for the first time we will be allowing our customers to spend on a fair and transparent credit card. We are building an international credit program for our personal and business customers.We are looking for an Engineering Lead who can join us to build out the first credit offering from Wise and ensure we can build a transparent, reliable and trustworthy system that complies to local regulations around the world and serves our global market. As the Engineering Lead, you will work with product, and begin to build our roadmaps, hire teams and develop this greenfields initiative. You will mentor engineers, and help define the product and team's missions to build out high performance teams, and an exceptional product. About the RoleTransaction Processing team is looking for an Engineering Lead to join an existing team that owns transaction processing. You’ll be responsible for the full transaction lifecycle, from authorisation and tokenisation to clearing, as well as managing complex integrations with card schemes. With our customers spending 44 billion using cards, you’ll focus on ensuring the scalability and reliability of our services, while minimising friction for our customers as they use our products. You’ll lead the team responsible for these critical infrastructure components, ensuring our systems remain performant and resilient as we scale.You will be a key driver of the team's technical roadmap and strategy, partnering with product and engineering leaders across Transaction Processing to support our international growth. You will be responsible for owning the systems that underpin our transaction processing capabilities, ensuring they are built for scale, reliability, and low latency. You’ll drive technical excellence by guiding architectural decisions, enhancing our integration capabilities with card schemes, and ensuring that our services can handle the massive transaction volume our customers generate.You will lead, coach, and mentor a talented group of engineers, fostering a culture of technical ownership, stability, and continuous improvement. You will balance immediate operational needs with long-term architectural investments, ensuring our platform evolves to meet our customers' needs without compromising quality or reliability. You will be a strong owner of your product space, navigating complex priorities to deliver robust, scalable solutions that set the standard for our transaction processing capabilities.
